Excuse me, but those problems began a few days ago.

The coder has been ignoring customers on this mod for the past YEAR and certainly has not answered inquiries from the past month, well before issues in France arose.

There is no support on this mod. Install at your own risk. Buy the pro version at your own risk.

Not really sure what you are trying to achive here. The developer hasnt logged in for over four months, continually posting about it isnt going to change that. Move on.

The point is that it IS unsupported.

People posting to give the coder some "excuse" i.e., he is French, isn't going to change that. As you said, he is gone. Let's let people know that so that they understand that the mod is not supported.

Because vB.org has never done that before. And, personally, I wouldn't appreciate administrators going through my mods when I have to check out from time to time, as I often do, and deciding for me that my mod is unsupported. I'd be surprised if they had the time. Free support for a free third party mod is, by definition, wiggy. Because you have people doing all of this in their spare time. Rarely are these mods produced by businesses. So business-like constancy shouldn't at all be expected.

Supported could mean once every 6 months... or less... or maybe he really did leave and won't be back. Don't worry about whether someone else's mod is marked supported or not. If you ever make your own mods you can worry about those.

I'm sorry he didn't answer your question- still better to have a mod than nothing at all.

JFYI, Mods are auto listed as unsupported if the dev hasnt been active for 180 days (or more).

Just noticed that after changing my forum template the drop down boxes for the chat all show white - unless you hover over the area and then you can see the text - this seems to be for the font size, color, and family drop down boxes. Anyway to change this or fix it without affecting the color across the forum platform? Thanks.

mgc chatbox evo : commands list > pm > click the boxes of those you want to use the PM feature

MGC chatbox evo : command options > /pm command (some pm options here)

First go to mgc chatbox evo : commands list > pm > click the boxes next to the usergroups you want to use the chatbox.

Oh, and of course go to MC chatbox evo > commands list and make sure PM option is enabled.

Let me try to break it down for you. I used some page titles and not what you were supposed to click....

In your admin control panel.
1) On the left find the category MGC Chatbox Evo.
2) Click on manage commands and make sure PM option is enabled (click drop down)
3) On the left find mgc chatbox evo
4) Click on command options
5) click "go" next to pm (quickly edit command options)
6) click the boxes next to the usergroups you want to use the chatbox. (save if changes are made)

I think that should get it running.

mgc chatbox evo click on manage commands then click "go" on the far right of PM line to edich with usergroups... but I think default is all of them anyway

No, the team thing is something different, we used it for moderators for a little bit but ultimately disabled it as it wasn't used enough to warrant being activated. You use the arrow to the left of the username and select "send private chat to...." There are commands you can type out too which you can get more information on by clicking the question mark button on the lower left of the chatbox. Here is what it says about PMs (check it out though, it covers more topics....)

just updated VBulletin to 4.2.2 Latest PL and MGC Chatbox 3.4.0 but now the chat window doesn't refresh automagically.

It's a fresh install with little config.
Any ideas?

** UPDATE ** Hard refresh dumped the cached copy and it worked.

Thought that might help someone who has the issue.

can this mod be run in sidebar?

The images of the chatbox doesn't seem to work. I've uploaded them in the correct parts of the style (in images/misc/) but they appear broken. When I grab the image URL 1.1.1.3/bmi/ inserts itself in front of my forum URL.. any ideas?
