Does this work with vbulletin mobile?

Hi,

For those of you who have this installed on their vBulletin, are you having issues with the 'Close' button. It's in the list when you click on the little blue/white arrow next to a chat.

Mine closes the box, then immediately links to '/forums/#mgc_cb_evo_top', which isn't the chatbox. It happened as well when I clicked the 'Close' button on the actual developers website.

It's really annoying.

Has anyone had this trouble?

I'm not sure of your exact mobile template circumstances, but we have a mobile skin that automatically gets assigned if a user is on a mobile device. The Chatbox in full screen didn't work in this skin, it just said 'This content is not available on mobile' (something like that).

I ended up creating an overwrite for the Chatbox template to make it direct to our desktop site style - this way people on their mobile can still see it and interact with it.

the chatbox is nice and out users like it, but on a dark skin the input becomes black text on a black background. Not exactly easy to read.

Any hint what I can change ?

I have asked Clement about this MANY times here and on his site, and he doesn't respond!
since the mgc_cb_evo directory is concerned, it is obvious that the errors are related to this plugin.

I would respectfully ask that the information on this mod be changed from "supported" to "unsupported" given the developer's lack of response to questions/problems.

That is not something that is up to the staff, it is up to the developer.
Just because a mod says it is supported, does not mean that it is, and visa-verse.

hi guys . how can i ban words on this chat . there is guy always spamming with url on the chat . always creating new nicks . i wanna ban or prevent some words . i have no idea were in that chatbox evo settings i can do that

I have tried this, and using {vb:raw mgc_cb_evo_var}, and with script names in the section 'List of the other forum pages'. Only with script names in that section will the chatbox show on the page, but, it stuck on 'Loading' can anybody please help

Installed, but immediately uninstalled when I found that it insists on using edit fields with the same font color as the background and not publishing these as stylevars so I can fix it.

wasted time installing and configuring this.

Heads up for anyone that wants to buy the pro version of this mod. The support is crap. Absolute crap.

People still using a chatbox vs the much better Facebook style chatbar? WOW CometChat is by far the best chat there is!

I run a small forum for our local car club. As nice as cometchat is, I don't believe we need something like it.

MGC was great, until we changed the domain of our site. Because of this, the licence file is wrong, and it's been going on 9 days without a response from the author to change it for me.

9 days. That's completely unacceptable.

I waited 2 weeks.. He finally sent me a license file. I paid for it too.

If I hadn't un-installed it, the site would have been down during that time, because the license error is fatal and brings the whole site down.

Something is up with these guys. They don't respond, they claim to be on holiday, and they are offering no support whatsoever. I have asked them about errors I am getting in the mobile template which are attributable to this mod (see my post about it in this forum), and they have ignored it for about a YEAR.

It's deplorable. There is NO support for this mod, despite the marking in this forum!

Support is nonexistent. The coder should remove the word support here.

Is it possible to when clicking the little arrow next to a users name to change the colour of the drop down menu?........when i click mine it appears as see through with just text and I cant actually read the options are till i mouse over them.

So Clement as shut down every activity for his plugins :(

Yeah it seems he don't have time for vB anymore, hopefully he will reply to my email about the mod.

That being the case, he ought to have turned it over or at least notified us. I paid $10 for the pro version, and got nothing for it. His license file wrecked my site.

He needs to learn some responsibility.
I ask the admins here to remove the support marking, since he won't. This mod is unsupported and people have a right to know that.

You should of got dbtech pro version its a lot better and there support is 1st class

LOL, Nelson has had issues with DBTech mods and not getting the support he expected. So I don't blame him if he does not want to use it.

Seen that post over there he was mad, but the support has always been good, yes it has gone down a bit the last few months but still its not bad

When you contacted the coder of this mod, did he ever respond?

This mod returns an error in the mobile version, that I asked about for about a year, and NEVER got any acknowledgement or response.

Which part of back on topic did you fail to grasp ? Enough.
