Hi Paul M!

I have downloaded the zip file, and I followed the instructions!

I see nothing to my forum after the install ...

In the text file I see only step 1 and step 2!
and my plugin is enabled!

Please help!!!! ;)

DementedMindz 04-21-2006 03:37 PM

just wondering yesterday i had 206 members visit.. it logged it fine and was showing they had visited... but then it reset at midnight and didnt save my highest member count... its now telling me Total members that have visited the forum today: 86... it seems like every so often it resets it self... anyone else have this problem?

Paul M 04-21-2006 04:03 PM

It's a daily count from (your) midnight, so yes, it resets everyday at midnight. It's not supposed to remember anything from one day to the next - if you want a long term remembered highest - use the add-on (linked below the zip file).

DementedMindz 04-21-2006 04:09 PM

i just wasnt sure if it was suppose to save the most online in this... thanks paul

I have looked at your forum using the login provided.

If you goto your Plugin Manager page you will see this message ;

Warning: Plugins are currently globally disabled via config.php
You need to edit your config.php to remove the line disabling the hooks/plugin system.

kelangtri 04-23-2006 02:47 AM

Thank you so much

chrisjp88 04-24-2006 06:22 PM

counterform 04-25-2006 01:12 AM

This is perfect... installed.

pogonavitticeps 04-25-2006 04:40 PM

Hi Paul!

Please show mere where to edit in my config.php!

Thanx

Paul M 04-25-2006 05:44 PM

I cannot do that as I don't have access to your config.php

pogonavitticeps 04-25-2006 09:25 PM

Hi Paul!

I sent you a PM with the details about my ftp!

Paul M 04-27-2006 04:52 PM

Okay, took a look just now and have commented out the following line (which was at the very top of your config.php)

//define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

All should be working now.

pogonavitticeps 04-27-2006 04:55 PM

Thank you Paul!

You are the KING!! ;)

pbradish 04-27-2006 09:09 PM

evofile 04-29-2006 02:38 AM

great hack, thank you very much!

mostof 04-30-2006 04:37 AM

This is a very long thread, so i'm sorry if this question has been answered in one of the previous 54 pages....

How do i restrict viewing of this plugin to certains groups of users?

It's a great MOD btw....thanks.

Paul M 04-30-2006 10:14 AM

Point 9 from the list of features covers this.

Quote:

9. The ability to allow only certain usergroups to view the list is an ACP option (vBulletin Options > Who has visited today).

wizardan 04-30-2006 02:12 PM

Thanks for the latest update, Paul.
Handy to restrict the view to certain usergroups.

Question?
I have a rather busy What's Going On Box.

How would one move your hack to, say, somewhere in the footer, for example, keeping the look of it intact?

I know, I'm such a noob...

*edit*

I should add that my What's Going On box is above my forums.

SkyHead 05-01-2006 11:44 PM

What about a Guest counter?

Snake 05-02-2006 08:32 AM

That has been requested many times already. Too bad it's not a possibility to have for this hack.

alawadhi 05-02-2006 12:25 PM

A great one, I was looking for it.

Thanks

harishankar 05-04-2006 03:08 PM

Thanks and I clicked install! Regards.

Eagle Creek 05-08-2006 01:59 PM

Is it bandwith intensive?

Paul M 05-08-2006 02:22 PM

Define "bandwidth Intensive".

Qwest 05-08-2006 02:24 PM

Superbly easy and useful mod.

Thank you.

Just the HTML isn't much of course but I don't know :D.

Paul M 05-08-2006 05:23 PM

It averages about 1k extra per 20 users displayed. The average forumhome page is probably about 50k to start with.

Eagle Creek 05-08-2006 05:59 PM

Is there any difference in Bandwith when using the collasped option? I guess not, it's only to have a smaller index :).

Hi,

I'm currently on the way of updating our board. As we have many visitors per day I would like to hide the users who has visited our board today for all users who are not loged in (e.g. bots ;)).

In order to add this functionality I think I have to modify you xml file starting in line 118. (add a if clause and check the user status in order to replace the var $whotoday. Is there anything else I have to look at from your point of view?

Thanks!

Paul M 05-11-2006 10:01 PM

Erm, surely it will just be the same as the who's online then ?
