I thought that waiting and sitting for 10 minutes on a 100 megabit bandwidth Internet connection, to our multi processor based dedicated vBulletin host hardware platform, would have been enough time to upload the files. I guess not, but I really want to tempt fate again .. :D

Sure, if time to upload was the only factor in causing such a problem and everyone else had the same problem, I'd agree with you there was a problem with this mod.

That's clearly not the case though, or this thread as well as our support forum would have been filled with reports of the same problem :)

I'm not trying to start an argument with you, I just want to be clear on the fact that your issue appears to be unique to you and your site. As far as I'm aware (I'm not the original developer of this modification, one of our subcontractors is), this is the first time this issue has happened with any of our modifications.

If we factor your one install attempt into the thousands of other installs of this modification, I think it's safe to say the problem is not on our end :)

Frankly, your post came across as very abrasive and that makes it extremely difficult for me to swallow my pride and help you to the best of my abilities. I'm sure if you've ever worked in the service industry you can understand my position.

I am using a different template "modern theme" but the Category window is all white and the framing would you have any suggestions for work around ? it dose work with other skins it is just this one seems to be having a problem.

I have a case want to ask if this product can deal with it.
If I created an album by user1, can I give permissions to user2 and user3 to uploda images to that album?

I tried to submit a support ticket on the Dragonbyte website but I keep getting an invalid category ID on the submission.

I currently have photopost 8.3 on VB4.2.3L2 and when the PHP was upgraded on the server the MOD quit working and many pictures are now not showing up. Can DragonByte Gallery import the existing images and and get them working again?

There might be some differences in terms of albums vs categories, but all readable images will be imported.

I downloaded the demo and images are still not displaying. There was no information on importing from photopost. Your support tickets are not working on your website. What am I doing wrong?

That depends on the steps you took to import, without this information I have no hope of diagnosing your issue.

Support tickets are working fine @ our site, make sure you're selecting from the drop-down manually and that you are not using any script blocking extensions in your browser.

did this never happen? lol....thats a very old post but im getting to look closer again and seeing a few more things i dont like with this...

im willing to hack it in even if anyone will help but this is the features i want to see:

1. profile block with gallery albums(since the vb one is turned off and replaced by this, seems a logical oversight)

2. activity stream updates of album creation and/or image additions(its really not a proper activity stream if its ignoring the entire gallery system)



also btw, not sure anyones mentioned it so just a tip that after pushing hard nearly a year for them to fix the photopost importer, as of its last update it will at least complete but does not import user albums AT ALL or respect private content from photopost :rolleyes:

If the features are not in the current version, then probably not.

We've received no further feedback on the PP Pro importer, but if enough people submit feedback wanting it to change it's certainly something we can look into :)

fair enough....i know there are some ppl, but im not sure if it would be the big diff of them using your product or not....but then again, by the time they test to find out, they already purchased pro anyway, just sloppy practice but i guess you guys have alot of projects and whatever....

regarding profile block and activity stream tho....cant this be added with a hook? im only smart enough to cause problems lol i dont know how to pull or list the data.....i assume theres going to be the custom data, which could be pulled into a by php to a default sideblock profile widget....i dont know the php code part tho...

....just if case any chance its simple enough to share the code, i honestly do not know

..same with activity stream if anyone will share that would be great for users of this product

1. can you convert regular albums from vbulletin
2. is it integrated in the activity stream

There are album imports yes, I don't believe it integrates into the activity stream at this time.
