Entertain, can you please help me out. I have vBSEO installed and its using a different url format, how do I edit it so it uses the vbseo url format to avoid invalid url error?

Will there be an update for this fix? Anyway that I can manually fix whilst we're waiting?

Is anyone having the invalid url error with vBSEO url format?

I'm still looking for a way to bring all the existing feedback that members have into iTrader. Members would lynch me if I told them that their feedback had to start back at zero.

I'm surprised no mentioned this earlier, but I noticed the latest version (2.8.1) does not display a specific error message when a required field is lacking:

Didn't it use to explain which field was missing? e.g. Something like: Deal Thread URL is invalid

^That was confirmed on a sandbox with a fresh 'virgin' install of vb4.1.5 PL1 with 2.8.1.


I'm also have a problem with the blank white page after a successful iTrader is submitted. The blank pages url is "forum.com/itrader_feedback.php" and is only occurring on the primary forum, not the fresh sandbox install. I suspect it's one of the many template / phrase edits we've done on the primary site. I reverted all of the template edits and reinstalled 2.8.1 (overwriting all files) without success.

Has anyone else experienced a blank white page after a successful feedback?

P.S. This is an amazing hack and huge thanks to Entertain for porting it to vb4! All too often people complain without realizing how much time and effort goes into creating and supporting a free hack like this. I'm sending you a donation now. Thanks again!

Entertain, can you explain how to reproduce the blank white page? I recently copied the site to a new server and noticed the problem is not occurring on the new box. The db, phrases, templates, and files are all identical, so I was surprised the problem appears to have resolved itself. Three differences that come to mind are: APC, vBSEO, and Sphinx (digitalpoint plugin) have not been setup on the 2nd server yet.

It would be nice that in version no. 3, itrader could alter the usergroups like the promotions system of vbulletin.

Entertain, I figured out what's causing the blank white page -> Digital Point Sphinx Search v1.2.2 (Note: v1.2.1 works fine).

Yep, this message is telling everything. vBulletin made some changes how to integrate css files into the templates and this is why this mod is only compatible with a version starting at vBulletin 4.0.4

Thanks for this great plugin, although i seem to be having trouble.

For example when i list the forum id's for the marketplace and come to make a listing it wont show the prefix "WTS WTB WTT" no drop down box or anything. I am able to submit feedback and all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S Do all the files have to be uploaded to the admincp directory?

I have vBSEO installed and its using the .html format, when I submit a feedback by including the thread url in .html format, it returns the invalid url error and automatically converts it to .php, then I try submitting again and same invalid error comes up. Any help?

So if this isin't supported does that mean that if a security issue is found, it wont be updated? What about if a vB update breaks it?

The original coder isn't supporting it. Entertain has been -with permission- and has done a good job of it too. Some of us actually paid money -at one time- for this mod and support. If it wasn't for entertain continuing it, I'd be feeling pretty much screwed over right now.

No, the files should be uploaded to your public_html directory (1 level up from the admincp directory). Also, thread prefixes shouldn't have any effect on the urls. Are you certain you uploaded all of the files to the correct directory and you configured all of the admincp options correctly?


The url format change after submitting the form is normal. I have used vBSEO with this product for two years without any problems. Are you certain you placed the correct forum id numbers into AdminCP > Settings > VB Options > iTrader Forum Integration > Valid Forums Only (comma separated list with no spaces)? One common mistake is using the forum Display Order number instead of the actual Forum ID number.

I have RC version, VB 4.1.5 Patch 1

I have uploaded this to my vb board and ran everything as instructed, but this is still not showing up. Could I get better instructions. I uploaded i through my server. Then loaded the xml in my acp, then changed the itrader information as instructed below. Once I install this, I get an error message when I click a member's profile related to itrader. I run version 4.1.5. Just bought my publishing suite. PLEASE HELP. This modification was the whole reason I purchased my vbulletin licensing.

This is the error message I keep recieving and itrader does not show up under usergroup manager to edit permissions.

It sounds like some of the required files weren't uploaded properly, most likely to the wrong folder. You want to copy everything inside the upload_this folder to your public_html directory. That means you will need to enter the upload_this folder and then "Select All" in your ftp client. It won't work properly if you simply drag and drop upload_this to public_html, thus creating a new upload_this directory on the site.

Be sure to upload all of the subfolders as well (admincp, images, and includes).

Each setup is a little different. Some call it public_html, httpdocs, www, etc.

I believe godaddy is using a custom setup where it automatically takes you to their public_html equivalent when you FTP in. Do you recall where you originally uploaded all of the vbulletin files to? That's the location you want to upload the iTrader files too. Just be sure you don't copy the actual "upload_this" folder. You only want to upload the contents of that folder (including all the subfolders).

When in doubt you can always ask the host (godaddy) for assistance.
