What if this person is unreachable? What does vBulletin.org consider an acceptable time limit?
|
Good news guys!

I will convert this ASAP! Mods: How do I get access to modify and update the original post? |
Awesome! This mod is essential for anyone that uses the calendar extensively. :)

Where exactly do I put $lv_vb_eventforums_eventdetails ?? Thanks |
I'm guessing wherever you want the Event Details block to show up. I'd just put it somewhere and then play around with the layout.

would be great, loved that mod in the past!
|
Yep!
Subscribed with a patient wait for the VB4 ** mod port. Good on yer! |
I'd also happily pay
|
would love to see this. There was a good one for PHPBB but surprised there isn't one for vbul4 yet.
|
Plus one subscriber hoping for a vB4 port; good luck, xTu!
I was about to start trying to reverse-engineer a hack together myself, but if you can work out a legitimate port and release it, that would be so much more maintainable in the long run. |
I too would really like to see this mod updated for 4.x.

I'd really, really, like to see this ported for 4.2, but it seems that the last time xTu was online was July 19. Doesn't sound too promising.
|
Correct, life has taken over :)
I have not had any time to work on this, so if someone wants to take it over, PM me. |
This is an important bit of work. I hope Farcaster or one of the other Calendar mod peeps take this onboard. In 1979 I created the first dedicated Gig Guide, TAGG The Alternative Gig Guide in Melbourne , I believe work such as this will enhance the potential for new artists to get there stuff out there. I'm not a coder unfortunately, though I'd like to see a storm of Calendar enhancements. I mean, there isn't even a Facebook share button for Calendars...I mean, really...
|
How much cash would I need to chip in for someone to port this to 4.2? Maybe I could dance at your wedding (although I'm a terrible dancer)?
|
We really liked this and want to upgrade it for vB 4. We lost this functionality when we upgraded this week to vB4. So, if anything comes of it, we'll find out if it's cool to share it and go from there. No promises. Time is scarce.

I wouldn't call it an upgrade, but I got this working on 4.2.1. I had to tweak a few things but most of the functionality is in tact. Thank you so much for the code. I'll be glad to share what I have with anyone.
Thanks, Chuck |

Attached is a working mod for 4.2.1. It's been on our production site for 2 weeks now and was exactly what we needed. Thank you so much for the base code.
|
BarracodE, you still online? My site is 4.2.1 and have been busting for this. can I see a link to your site please?
|
|

Nice looking forums mate, which one of the forums has the mod on it please. I have a number of Gig Guides that will help me with amazingly

Oh dear, no wonder it doesn't work on my site 4.2.1, awesomeness in a bottle, someone, anyone? |
Just installed BarracodE's xml from post 825 on page 55 on VB 4.2.0 and it seems to be working!...:)

Thanks mate, I'll give it a run on 4.2.1 and report back |
I can't get it working on 4.2.1, upsetting as I need something like this

My default calendar is "calendarid=1" and the Events forum id is "id: 8"...so I simply entered 1:8 in the first box of the Event Forums control panel. ;) |
After reading through some of the older posts, I've discovered that moderating new threads doesn't work which means that I can't allow unregistered people to create a new event. Does anyone have any suggestions on a work-around for this?

Can confirm working well on 4.2.1 :D Thanks for the update! |
