Updated my hack - totally improved it and changed it into a Flash Game and Movie Player!!! :)

This hack can now play ANY Flash movie or game.

It is now called the vB Flash Player - Play Any Flash Game or Movie in vB (including Tetris!)

Go to the first post to download the updated ZIP.

All you need to do is create 2 templates, and upload 1 file, and you're done.

Then, to play any Flash SWF Game or Movie inside your forum:

1) Upload the SWF file to your forum directory.

2) Link to this URL:

http://www.your-forum.com/forums/flash.php?play=xxxx

xxxx being the name of the SWF file (without the .SWF) - the name must be exact (including the capitals or small letters)


For example, with this hack I've included the Tetris SWF file that was included in my original tetris hack - I realize that with some modification of that hack, you can play ANY SWF file without need for making new templates or php files.

So if you upload tetris.swf to your forums directly, you link to this URL:

http://www.your-forum.com/forums/flash.php?play=tetris

The Tetris Flash Game will play integrated into your forums.

This works for any Flash game or Movie. Just put the name of the file without the .swf extension, and your forum will play the game or movie!

If you have installed my old tetris hack, just delete the tetris.php and "tetris" template, and install this hack, which is better and lets you play other Flash games AND MOVIES too!

Thanks again John. (And you too Erwin!!!). We should all go out and find SWF files that we share throughout Vbulletin so we can each have our own little arcade. I would love more then anything to have Mario Brothers on my site. :)

A Flash 2-player chess game I found - it's not very good - but I have posted it here so that you can test out my vB Flash Player hack. When I say 2-player, I mean literally, another player sitting next to you. :) I think this one is public domain.

Just download chess2.txt and RENAME it to chess2.swf (I cannot attach SWF here for some reason), then upload it into your forum directory.

To play it in your forums, link to this URL (changing it to match your forum directory):
