Did it manually and it installed it! Thanks a Lot for the help!

Then you are not loading the files to the correct place.
Please drag and drop the contents of the upload folder (use Ctrl+A to select all files) to your public_html folder. |
Glad to hear, but I would make sure all the other files are loaded to the correct place. :)

I installed this mod last night on my 4.2.3 board and it really made a mess. First of all, the notifications weren't working. I tried the floating images and the stickies and neither worked and all settings were correct.
Then I started getting emails from members who were having other problems. For example, some were clicking on the "Articles" tab and were being redirected to forum.php. Some could not get to the top category forum and had to post that problem in other areas. I removed this mod, had them all clear their browser cache and history and everything was fine again. I really like what this offers and was planning to buy the Pro version for the attachment option but am scared to try it again. I THINK what may have caused it is another mod called PM Management Lite. I had forgot it was even nstalled. I have completely removed that one now but before trying this again, can anybody confirm that the PM Management mod would have caused a conflict? |
It's quite possible, as your site is the only one to report such issues with well over 500 installs. Let us know how it goes with the other mod removed.

I've pretty much read all the posts in this thread. I guess I'll just not install this. I don't know what caused the problem but I know that due to the type of members I have, a good number of them access the site from phones, tablets and etc. while on the road. From what I can understand, they won't be able to get their private messages if this is installed. Is that correct? I understand it's a Tapatalk problem so am not pointing fingers.

No, they still should be able to read and send PM's.
