Need your help please, with my lack of understanding
In "VBSEO sitemap setting" the field placement site map (Sitemap Files URL)
Wrote in explanation that the sitemap is located by default in the ROOT
Site Map created by Vbseo created in directory - vbseo_sitemap/data
Do I need to change something?

Added that if you change the setting have to change the htaccess -
You wrote an explanation: "Edit the. Htaccess file of the folder in which you want to locate your sitemap files. file of the folder in which you want to locate your sitemap files."

In short a little confused here
I would be happy if you could give an explanation what to do and what to address in Google Webmasters and Bing

If you're on fast cg, etc, your items may be marked differently, perhaps 640. Consult your host for more info on proper security settings for files.

do not upload the htaccess FOLDER.
upload the .htaccess FILE in the htacces FOLDER to your site root, as outlined in the instructions.

There are 10 different webserver rewrite modules in the folder.... if you're on apache, you need to .htaccess one.

Hey Brain thanks for the advice i can finally say it actually WORKED! You was right i had to change the contents inside /data to 644 and only upload the .htaccess file in root. Thanks in advanced, thanks to all the people that helped :)

Edit: Google is showing the sexy green tick :p
/sitemap_forum_1.xml.gz
/sitemap_group_1.xml.gz
/sitemap_member_1.xml.gz
are taking a long time to pend while the other 3 have been complete.

In most cases, leave this setting blank. This is an optional setting for advanced configurations.

you should submit site.com/forumpath/sitemap_index.xml.gz

If your server is slow, you may want to reduce the number of urls per file. I recommend 10-20,000 depending on your server's capabilities. google has a very short timeout.... about 2-4 seconds. if it takes your server longer than this to generate the request, it will mark it as a 404. Lowering the urls per file reduces the file size and increases the download speed.

the nginx ruleset is:

Code:

location /forums/ {

rewrite ^/forums/((urllist|sitemap_).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ /forums/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 last;
}

you will need to customize to your actual paths.

Thanks again Brain
I lowered the amount to 15000 and see tomorrow whether he is still unable to enter
