I don't want to be impolite with you but i think, im my opinion, that a version upgrade should put better things, not remove things that are already implemented and in use by your users.

Sorry but i don't understand your point of view by doing this because i consider that this new version is far poorer than the earlier one.

In any case, i renew my original request, please consider either adding the feature again or put some older version of the plugin online so that your lite version users can chose what they want.

Thats your opinion and I cincerelly respect that. However, I disagree that the plugin "got poorer" as you say it.

The lite version has been improved in many ways like the advanced version (cache, layout) and has a new feature to show thumbnail pictures which the old version didn't have.

There is not a written rule or regulation that we can't change the features. We put a feature and take one out...

There are many forums shared our plugin you can always search the internet and find older versions.

Is there a way, if someone were to actually type "http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/" that it would automatically see it as an IMDB link and strip all but the #s required for the IMDB tags?

i.e. "http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/" becomes -> [imdb]048569[/imdb]

(kind of like how passivevid works)

We have a similar feature our "to do list". With this code it seems a litle bit difficult to do that, but it's a fantastic and we will keep working on that.

I'm finding a problem where the link will put a space between the end of the number and the trailing slash... i.e. "http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569 /" is the link with the IMDB button, which is not working.

The latest release of the plugin solved that problem. Maybe we missed that in the lite version. I'll look into it.

I would like to purchase this plugin as it seems thats the only way to let the plugin get useful info form imdb, but reading over this thread I don't exactly get a good feeling about support and upgrades...

Many lite softwares have the same thing in common: They don't offer much :)
We have a support forum and we pretty much do everything to help which most of premium services wouldn't offer.

I practically installed plugins, helped side by side with the owner. Could we do more, of course ! We are working to improve our service more and more and are open to any kind of suggestion which is in right mind.
