When clicking the sitemap addy from my Google webmaster tools, this is what comes up:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
This is not an error, sitemaps do not require any styles to be applied.

Ohiosweetheart,

replied to your thread @ vbseo.com

Chewy954,

make sure that you have 0777 permissions set for vbseo_sitemap/data/ folder.

ps2wiz,

you should submit sitemap as http://yourforumsroot/sitemap_index.xml.gz (NOT http://yourforumsroot/vbseo_sitemap/...p_index.xml.gz ). Also, make sure that the site entry you added in webmaster account has "www." in domain name.

Hello VBSEO Team, I am a VBSEO customer and also have sitemaps, I have uploaded all the files into the right places and CHMOD 777 on the data folder. But when I go to 'myforum'/vbseo_sitemap.xml.gz I get this message 'Page not found'. I have gone over and over, but everything seems to be isntalled in the right places the sitemaps console panel under vbulletin options works, but sitemap does not. Please help, vbseo installed fine I don't know why the problem for me with sitemaps, I have even uninstalled sitemaps and resinstalled it. For somereason no site map XML file is in my root directory, the software is meant to create an XML file for the site map automatically right? My data directory does show a vbseo_sitemap.xml.gz in it, but there is no such file if I go to my root directory either vbseo_sitemap.xml.gz or vbseo_sitemap.xml? There is no sitemap

Info about my server/webhosting from my vbulletin control panel:
Server Type Linux
Web Server Apache v1.3.39 (cgi)
PHP 4.4.7
PHP Max Post Size 8.00 MB
PHP Maximum Upload Size 2.00 MB
MySQL Version 5.0.51a-community
MySQL Packet Size 15.00 MB

Thanks from Josh

greatthings,

please open a ticket on vbseo.com to check this further.

ps2wiz,

did you create .htaccess file as described? What exactly is your sitemap URL?

Just recently installed vbSEO 3.2 Gold and the vBSEO Sitemap generator 2.2 and I have a few problems:

1. Sitemap generator isn't working, throws database error (table vb_linkback does not exist)

This is on PHP 5.2 using MySQL 5.0.24a with the MySQLi connector

2. vbSEO seems to be working but it's trying to rewrite my css file urls and breaking my template.

Specifically this css file:
http://forums.gamer-junkie.com/annou...82b2-00001.css

Should be:
http://forums.gamer-junkie.com/clien...82b2-00001.css

Just wanted to post a reply here as a follow up. I was able to get help over on the vbseo forums and it turns out that my vbseo install was corrupted.

After a re-install of vbseo everything is working (sitemap generator AND url rewrites).
