I have it installed, anyway vBExperience stills deleting points if I delete a thread...

Some old threads with, an example, 1000 posts, must be deleted, so al points earned are deleted :(

Because no one has asked for the second group.

Phalynx, I noticed that its not usefull without second group long ago, but also does ask about that, because I thought that its so clearly that it need for promotion and its already at you todo list... I do not know how user use promotions without that... All of my members at default usergroup and only when I want to give them additational permisions I put them to additational usergroups. pretty simple. no need to control over to much usergroup access and settings.

And I don't know how users could use just the second user group for that ;)

Note: secondary usergroups was not usefull in latest vbulletin realises, but Additional Usergroups is very-very userfull feature.

The main reason: When you use primary group only, when you create a new one:
* you need to control and correct setting of all forums permisions on your board, becasue by default private forums is allowed to access for new usergroup. if its many forums with not default setting - its a big work you you to control and correct setting when you add new forums or add usergorup.
* hard to correct usergroup setting and compare that new usergroup have no less permissions every time [/B] when you change setting for general usergroup (for ex. registered users changed default avatar size from 50x50 to 100x100) after that you must go and correct other usergroups: Uploaders, VIP, etc. etc. and give them 100x100 also! bad..... unnecessary movements!!!

when you use additational usergroup you can simple dissalow all for new usergroup, avator size set to 0/0 ( settings will be used from primary usergroup) and give only additational permissions only. maybe change attachments size more that primary usergroup have and its will work...
with additational usergroup you can not give less permissions for primary, only additational :) its fully reflects concept of promotional system and must used to promotions

* Third, you can put "Registered users" not to one usergroup (like primary usergroup change allowed) but you members can be Uploaded, Vip member, Customer etc. at the same time!

Phalynx - As a way of saying thank you to members who have used my Amazon link, I give them post points to use in the 'shop'. (I didn't want to give them custom points since I save that category for special icons I give away - things they can't 'buy'). Anyway, I had a ton of points to start with, now I'm starting to run out. Is there a way to give myself more post points without giving everyone else post points? (changing a value for my userid in the database, perhaps?)

Avoiding the use of custom points you only have the possibility to create an extra field and add it to the calculation using the CDP Plugin Interface.

Take a look at ZIP\extras\Custom Data Provider\product_vbexperience_cdp_example.xml
Modify that file to your needs, e.g. add your points with xperience_calcdata and import it.

If you are not familiar with PHP then I don't have a fast solution for you.

Absolute superb mod Phalynx - installed. Goes really well with a gaming forum where members love to level up!
