The product totally messed up my admincp. I deleted the files, uninstalled the plugin but this still appears in my Usergroup Manager:

Just a blank menu instead of the regular MGC Chatbox menu. Now, when I try and save new settings the following error comes up:

It is basically trying to save to a column that doesn't exist, since I removed the mod. There's a temporary solution - I basically re-imported the product and disabled it, and then everything is just fine.

Any permanent solution from the author of the mod? Please help!

just a note for everyone....

you must uninstall the xml FIRST, remove files SECOND. otherwise the forum will crash.

However, now I have other issues.

When i use firebug, and I go to the full page chat box, I see the following:

Every time it refreshes.

Also, when I type a response, I don't see it come up. in fact, it's almost like there is not chat box visible, just the back ground.

If you follow instructions correctly you shall be able to get it working.

Main errors that user do are not setting usergroup permissions or following the style issue fix as some of you have totally customized styles which contains missing var used for automatic chatbox insertion in templates.

I am pretty sure I did, are you sure you updated the files on your ftp ?

Why have you done that, this is not what you should do at all !

If you are having a tokensecurity issue with the chatbox for ensure that you have a vBulletin version greater than 3.6.10 or 3.7.0 Gold if yes then check that you don't have modified templates that need to be reverted.

Otherwise, follow the instruction on the readme.

You have to uninstalll things correctly... There is a readme please follow it !

You were supposed to remove the files and then uninstall the xml and you did the contrary this is why you get that error.

I've tried this in IE7 and FF3 and I cannot see any responses to what I've typed.

I type something, hit enter, and nothing shows up.

Not marking installed if does not work.

So...after months i decided it was time to uninstall the old MGC and move to EVO.

I did uninstall everything before installing... now, i installed EVO and it seems everything was wonderful... then set my permissions as admin to do whatever i want.

Now, I go to theforum to test the new chatbox, type my message... and click ok.

Nothing Oo

Another try... and another, nothing is shown in the chatbox. Then i checked the archives, nothing there.

I went to verify my sql tables, there are vb_mgc_cb_evo_channel, vb_mgc_cb_evo_chat, vb_mgc_cb_evo_command, vb_mgc_cb_evo_command_code and vb_mgc_cb_evo_session.

No message was saved on them... what did i do wrong? u.u

obmob - I've run into the same issues for some reason.

Hopefully we'll find some others as well so we can figure out where the problem lies.
