First updated, then removed it and fully reinstalled the chatbox, and it still shows "Loading ..." for me.. And I updated to the latest version, what gives? :o. Would appreciate some help here. Tried using FireFox, doesn't display any chats while in the archive, the chats are being displayed. Loading the javascript from the server or google doesn't matter, same issue.

As I said before. I used the mod on a HTTPS site, IE9 presents security warnings about mixed content (see my original post). These warnings cease when the mod is disabled. It appears to be only IE9 that does this ..

While I'd love to share a test account, enabling your chatbox is currently causing a lot of problems forum wide. Posting replies takes ages (and when it's done, it posts a lot of duplicate posts) and editing posts also takes a long time. Unsure if the "loading..." is causing it though.

So I prefer I could give you a test account if I have direct contact with you (AIM, MSN, Skype, IRC, etc) as I don't wish to affect the forums with it's slowdowns.

What you are stating is strange, you are the only one that reported such problem...

The clock in the right side is client side, that means your computer clock.
While the chats time is based on server side, that means your server computer clock with the timezone adjustments.

Therefore there can be differences between your server and your computer you know...

Then no can do, sorry. The "loading..." issue affects the entire forums, thus I cannot just re-enable it and wait minutes to hours or a day for you to come online and help with the issue. I do appreciate it, but I prefer not to affect the users what so ever.

I solved the issue so far by using 3.2.0 of the plugin with the 3.2.3 files. Most of the chatbox works fine again.

So you mean it comes from the 3.2.0 templates in that case ?

in full chatbox mod there is a css problem for me. standard theme.

only the words are displayed and not the box around it (for rules, etc)

add to the top of your config.php. Of course this will disable all mods, so you'll want to uninstall the chatbox then remove the line from config.php

I have installed this and it seems to be working just fine however I have a question.

Is there any way to select a different background colour for the chat window? I have ticked the parameter to allow alternate background colour for each message but this simply gives a very light two tone grey effect. I would like to change the colour to something different.

Yes, "Loading" goes away and chatbox works fine ;)

If you want to tweak those two colours you can edit the mgc_cb_evo.css template.

I can't get this feature to work on a 3.8.7 board either, clicking PM "User" does zero and worse, enabling the PM tab feature pretty much kills the chat box. Pity as it's a really cool feature.

Do you have any channel or command active ? If not try to activatate a command (just for test).

Yeah I know when you activate that feature in 3.8.7 you get the chatbox totally minimized, it has been reported to me and I have been able to reproduce it.

Just noticed that none of the commands, e.g. Ban or Delete all user chats etc work from the drop down menu.

So you have the same issue as me then, the commands are not working in Mozilla and Internet Explorer. Hope Clement will find a solution for this :)

Latest pro version and vb4.1.11 give far you high CPU usuage.

for istance only handful of users online this morning before fresh install of 3.2.3 cpu usuage only 5-10%, with this installed now getting approx 45% cpu usuage.

I've tried both 3.2.1 & 3.2.2, anyone got any ideas?

Last night with approx 110 members online but no one actually using the chatbox cpu usuage crept upto approx 75%.

Running dedicated quad core server with 4gb ram.

Really stuck with this now.

Hello I have a fix for this great chatbox mod. In cron task file mgc_cb_evo_ban.php the mod are unbanning all users without checking if the user is banned and if you use /ban on uname <nickname> the bantime is always 0 and the cron task will unban.

Edit mgc_cb_evo/cron/mgc_cb_evo_ban.php

Find this code:

and replace it with:

Now if you use a permanent ban using /ban on uname <nick> it will be a permanent ban, otherwise it apply bantime > 0 and the user will be re-admited when the time expires.
