Seems to be showing fine on your site to me ???

kpr 03-27-2006 08:58 AM

Wrong site it isnt the one in my sig it is http://webmastersfreed.com/

Paul M 03-27-2006 09:50 AM

That's a cutom style - even if you manually put the template code in it wouldn't work correctly without being modified. You can find the code in the Display_Visitors template.

ed2k_2 03-28-2006 11:44 AM

@ Paul M

I posted it in page 48 of this thread and I'm posting this again
for your attention. I very much appreciate the hack but
It always resulted to duplicate display (meaning 2 Members who have visited the forum) at forum home.

Kindly help, I think I miss something, or "over-installed" it!

Regards

Mark Raven 03-28-2006 02:15 PM

My apologies if this has asked before, but:

How can I move the location that this shows up in? Since I don't have to make any changes to the forumhome template for it to work, does that mean it's impossible?

Paul M 03-28-2006 04:13 PM

@ed2k - at some point you upgraded from an older version to the newer version, and did not follow the upgrade instructions.

Quote:

To upgrade from version 4.01/4.02 to version 4.10 onwards, you need to uninstall the product and remove the template code in FORUMHOME - then upload the new product.

To upgrade from version 3.xx to version 4.xx you need to delete the existing plugin and remove the template code in FORUMHOME - then upload the new product.
@Mark Raven - more difficult rather than impossible.

Thank you Paul

Very Nice

Install

rareclownfish 04-05-2006 07:22 PM

Hello, I just install this hack, the question I have is how do I make this show up on my portal home page as a Box in the left column?

Paul M 04-05-2006 07:47 PM

By asking the relevant people if a version is available for the portal you use. :)

OmaniMan 04-05-2006 09:23 PM

Thanks dear ... :)

jazde86 04-07-2006 09:53 AM

I've installed it, but nothing has changed on my forumhome.
Can you take a look please on forum.trillian-deutsch.de?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Paul M 04-07-2006 03:58 PM

There is nothing I can look at without admin access to your forum.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Having looked with the user details provided, the problem seemed to be something about the Plugin Order hack. I changed the order from 0 to 1 in the ACP settings for that hack and it started working.

jazde86 04-07-2006 07:38 PM

Thank you, thats great.

My apologies if this has been asked before, but can we also show the number of guests who have visited within 24 hours? It seems this mod (see below) can do it but I'd like to incorporate it with in the same mode (which I like a lot) if possible. Here's the link to the other mod I mentioned above: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=76242

Paul M 04-12-2006 07:25 PM

It's not possible for this hack to count guests.

FYI, that other hack counts entries in the session table - a very unreliable method at best, and changing the clean-up routines to only remove old sessions once a day is (IMO) a very bad idea.

qti 04-13-2006 01:02 AM

I see - thank you Paul!

davidw 04-13-2006 01:14 AM

Just curious as I was looking at the xml - my first thought would be no as I couldn't find a way to do this, however, would it be possible to integrate this hack with your hack? I can't find a way to do it, but want to know if it could be possible. I could see how it might if the data was pushed in the forumhome template, but I don't see how it would as the plugin suggests otherwise.

Paul M 04-13-2006 03:31 AM

In theory it would be possible with a bit of work - i.e. writing some extra code in the plugin, and altering the SQL query.

Nathan2006 04-13-2006 06:57 AM

Hi Paul,

I have done added the update but now the options are not in there :(

Quote:

Step 2.
Change the settings in 'vBulletin Options > Forums Home Page Options' as required.
I have gone right through them and all I can see is:

Quote:

Script Name for Forum Home Page
Display Logged in Users
Display Today's Birthdays
Display Calendar Events
Display Custom Holidays
Upcoming Event Type
Active Members Time Cut-Off
Active Members Options
I have reinstalled it and yes overwrite. Also un-installed it and reinstalled it and refreshed my admincp a good few times and nothing is there :(

Thanks for any help :)

Paul M 04-13-2006 07:58 AM

Ooops, those notes are out of date ;

Change the settings in 'vBulletin Options > Who has visited today' as required.

:)

davidw 04-13-2006 10:38 AM

I just noticed the history of this hack. Do you still have previous versions? I noticed the v4.10 pushes through the forumhome. It would purely be for educational value.

Thanks Paul, I looked all over and must have just missed it.

Thanks again :)

Do you mean versions previous to 4.10 ?

TunerNetwork 04-18-2006 02:48 AM

Got a quick ?. Didnt see it anywhere, is there a way to have next to the "Total members that have visited the forum today:" , a "Total Guests that have visited the forum today:" ?

Think that would be kinda cool to actually show how many people did check out the site within 24 hrs....thanks!

Paul M 04-18-2006 08:50 AM

I've added this as a note in the main hack as it keeps getting asked. :)

o, sorry about that paul. I will dl it today and check it, thanks!

I havent thanked you yet for this one, but I like the hack a lot.. And I compliment you on your constant support and upgrading, even if little things

No, but I think I have 4.11 knocking about somewhere. I'm still a bit confused as to why you want to look at it, the differences between 4.10 and 4.21 are small.

davidw 04-18-2006 08:13 PM

Eek, read it wrong, I would need a pre-4.10 version. Sorry about that. LOL - I read FORUMHOME, but overlooked the words preceeding it.

Paul M 04-18-2006 09:14 PM

Sorry, I don't have anything prior to 4.11 anymore.

EvilHawk 04-19-2006 04:00 PM

If you want to show only the total number at your ForumHome and the members who have visited the forum on a new page.

Download the attached zip.
Copy online_today.php in your forum Home directory.
Extract the XML file and import it into vBulletin as a product (using the ACP product manager).

Change the settings in 'vBulletin Options > Who has visited today' as required.
If you want to display Visitors on a new page set "Who Visited - Display Names" to 'no' and then set "Who Visited - On a new page" to 'yes'.

wssm 04-19-2006 04:45 PM

works beautifully

davidw 04-19-2006 06:07 PM

Ok, thanks for the assistance anyways :)

Actually, just remind me again why you wanted this - since I posted my reply the other day I have come across a very old copy (v3.31) - this was the first plugin version for 3.5.0 Beta (1 ?), before products even existed.
