Yup, I know. I just changed my e-mail, and I had to add it. It looks like now that I'm fine since I don't see that green message up top, right? I hope so.

I just installed the Shoutbox hack and I received no errors throughout the installation, but the shoutbox is not showing up on my forum page.. :ermm:

The shoutbox options are available in my AdminCP and everything appears to be set correctly..

As a side note, I do have vbPortal installed..

Any ideas??

@Doctor_Who - check your Usergroup permissions for yourself and you will probably find that your group has Shoutbox set to Off at the moment, you need to turn it on..:)

Database error in vBulletin 3.0.7:

Invalid SQL: ALTER TABLE language ADD `phrasegroup_shoutbox` MEDIUMTEXT NOT NULL
mysql error: Duplicate column name 'phrasegroup_shoutbox'

mysql error number: 1060

Anyone know what I did wrong :/

@d-mac - you already have the column 'phrasegroup_shoutbox' in your db, so remove it and then retry install of db files again.

hummm I cant seem to find it thank you for the response tho :/

After a few hrs of hair pulling I got it up and running and working fairly well.

Still a few tweeks I plan on doing but it does work....

This happens when trying to install it on my friend's forums, this also happens when trying to uninstall vBJukebox. All responses would be appreciated, thanks!

Did you have your admincp directory renamed? If yes check the config file in ./install/his_files directory.

you have to edit your forumhome templet

I have this installed on two sites, identical except one is running 3.0.1 and one is on 3.0.7. The 3.0.1 one runs great, shout box works like I want.

3.0.7 puts the entire shoutbox.php file inside of the shoutbox, instead of just the shouts?

Any ideas on why this might happen?

Okay, I recently upgraded my Vb from 3.0.3 to 3.0.7, for some reason however, I have not lost the hack, but on my forum index it does not display the shouts all the time, sometimes it simply appears blank, any ideas what could be causing this?

Make the changes to whatever you renamed your original index.php which is probably forums.php now.

OK, have had the shout box installed on my forum VB 3.0.3 for sometime now. I'm running 1.04 according to the php shout box file.

everything has worked out great, only issue I have had since the beginning is not being able to delete/edit shouts. I have all options checked in the control panel to allow mods and admins to delete/edit yet I still cant do it.

I have attached the shoutbox.php file that I am currently using and if anyone can take a look through it and see if something isnt right or that I need to change some codes, please advise.

well, this shoutbox doesn't work for me ... and I can't uninstall because that script says that no install is detected. Is there a sql code I could excute to delete settings, phrases, and the templates from the hack? Basically, uninstall everything from the hack. Thanks

Okay I have a weird problem, the line indicated in the link to the picture below, is supposed to display the text 'Shoutbox - Latest Shout', however it doesn't, why?

Well, it gets to the point of which it says something like "No intallation found" message ... really, if you know a MySQL command to uninstall phrases, settings, and templates, that woiuld be great, thank you.

im pretty sure its just because i need to run the queries, do u have a seperate text file in which i could install them (instead of using the install_hack.php thing)

There were alot of changes in vB 3.0.8 in the file coding (not features). So, try re-running the installation file.
