I had vbstats working great with vBulletin 2.2.2.
When I upgraded to 2.2.4 everything works, except under the "On Now" section of the main vbStats page if more than one user is logged in, only the first name shows. So if User1 and User2 and 1 guest are on the forums, it reads: Members: 2 Guests: 1 - User1, The comma is there, but the second logged in user doesn't show. If User1, User2, and User3 and 1 guest are on my forums, it shows as: Members: 3 Guests: 1 - User1, , Anyone else experience this after upgrading vB from 2.2.2 to 2.2.4? |
It installed fine for me but I started out using vB v2.2.4??
|
I wonder what the upgrade from 2.2.2. to 2.2.4 might have changed that caused the names after the first one to disappear from vbstats?
|
Bane, or anyone... we are running our pages off of a .shtml extension, and we want to include the vbs_counter.php into our main page, so we can get more info onto the stats. But when we do it, we get a weird error? Do we have to use a php include when including vbs_counter.php?

hi
great hack Bane, the only problem im having is when i put the No of a private forum that i dont want to show i get this error Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.4: Invalid SQL: UPDATE vbstats_options SET startdate='952001',exforum='14,',statloc='images/stats',flagloc='i mages/flags',useflags=1,useonnow=1,usequeue=1,usevbp=0,u se vbpl=0,refermax=20,queuemax=5,toppostmax=10,topthr eadmax =,recruitmax=20,incbar1=10,incbar2=20,incbar3=50,i ncbar4=100, incbar5=200,incbar6=500,norefer1=0,norefer2=0,colo r1='black',co lor2='red',color3='blue',color4='blue',acolor='Red ',scolor='Teal', mocolor='Green',mecolor='Blue',ucolor='Grey' mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'recruitmax=20,incbar1=10,incbar2=20,incbar3=50, incbar4=100,incbar5=200,incbar6=5' at line 1 mysql error number: 1064 any ideas? |
Does this support 2.2.4 or 2.2.5?
|
Yes on 2.2.4
Probably on 2.2.5 but I'm waiting until 2.2.5 is out of beta to install it (best to wait a few days after a new patch is relased to get the final version.) |
Strange, because I'm having a hard time finding part of one of the files to patch. The second and third files are missing part of them.
|
I get this:
Warning: Division by zero in /path/to/vbstats.php on line 136 ..........several lines up to 186 like that... It worked fine till I ran repair.php to clean up the db!! |

Hi just installed and I seem to have an error I can workout, could anyone help please.
Here is what I'm seeing when viewing the stats page, stats seem to be working just these three lines? Site address: www.combathq.net Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/giffney3/public_html/forums/vbstats.php on line 283 Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/giffney3/public_html/forums/vbstats.php on line 284 Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/giffney3/public_html/forums/vbstats.php on line 285 Many Thanks |

Another thing I noticed is: Last 24 Hours: New Threads: 691? | New Posts: 44? | Views: 87? Which is impossible. I'll watch and see what happens. If this is addressed in a post I aplologise. I've only gotten about 1/3 way through the entire thread - for some reason... |
7. Be sure to add this line to your phpinclude template:
include("vbs_counter.php"); Porblem is i've searched all through my templates and cannot find this TEMPLATE anywhere ??? this is the only thing that needs fixing as by reading through previous posts this will cure the other errors i get when viewing the public stats ?? Any ideas peeps I'm running 2.2.5 |

Ok all there errors have gone if i goto the Admin CP and click on the public stats they all worki fine but a have no links or templates on my index screen what so ever ???
Any ideas ?? |
You have to go into your templates and put the link where you want one.
---------------------------------- I used repair.php and while everything *was* working before I ran it, now on my 'Quote' function in a message in a thread is now returning a blank box to put your reply in (the stuff from the quotereply template isn't there) and at the top of the page it gives me the following error: Quote:
Added at edit The weird thing is - I had PHP Code:

How are active and non active members calculated?
Thanks |
As I understand it active users are those who have registered and posted while inactive users are those who have registered and NOT posted.
Someone please tell me if I am wrong - as I well may be. I am also curious - under 24 hours, is the Views = Page views or Thread views? And what is the difference between Views Page views and Thread views in the context of these stats? If I have a thread which is 5 pages long at 15 posts per page and someone reads the entire thread, does that count as 1 Thread view and 5 Page views? |
You are correct Marc. and the 24 hours thing is Page Views not Thread Views :)
Page views counts all pages that have the include. Thread views only count showthread pages. |
As a side note I'm hoping to drop a little upgrade sometime this week to fix some things. So all of you who have clicked the install button will get the email, but I wanted to add this just so the folks who didnt click the install know its coming.
|
One thing I might suggest - since this is a 'stats' hack. Where it gives users online, you might want to think of including the bit from the vB forum home page --> The most visitors ever online on such-and-such a date at such-and-such a time.
I'm a total php dummie and tried to put that in using the code from the forum home page: PHP Code:
PHP Code:
vBulletin is slowly making me learn php, so I'm not complaining - but that's how php dumb I am. I've been playing a little with my templates a bit http://16949.com/Forums/vbstats.php If you're interested in a small discussion there on what we're looking at see: http://16949.com/Forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4528 I finally did read thru every post in this thread. Install was smooth. You have the same problem all boards (including mine) have - many, many people refuse to take the time to read before they ask questions so the same question is asked in the same thread 20 times.... I particularly was tickled by the poster who said s/he didn't have enough time to read the entire thread. I also thought the fella who was 'critiqueing' never did offer any help or point out any specifics. Despite his 15 years and certification or whatever. I was disappointed in his limited interaction. Anyway, thanks! I appreciate the work you've put into the project. |
What is the activity level and how is it calculated?
|
As far as the who's online improvement, I would like to see it like the posters section.
Most ever online, this month, last 24 hours. |

someone know and wanna share that with me couse i REALLY wanna do that :) |
hello, i just installed ur stats, and its great! except for one little problem: When i go into the admin cp, and click on the "View Public Stats" link, it displays everything but i get this at the top:
Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 159 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 165 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 162 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 186 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 148 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 139 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 145 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 142 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 136 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 151 Warning: Division by zero in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\ennoying\forum\vbst ats.php on line 154 YES, i am a semi newb in php, so it might have been something i did, but i dont remember editing that file..?.. well, any help u can give me would be great, thanks for u time :) |
crap, double post, and i cant delete it :(
|
You need to add:
include("vbs_counter.php"); to your phpinclude template. |
Sorry in advance if these questions have already been asked (i dont really want to read over 50 pages of posts) if so, just post a link to the post i should look at :)
|
hi, i JUST asked the qeustion on the last page....heh, and the post above u is the answer. The thing was i was refreshing my browser a lot so i can see what the stats looked like and when i added the include("vbs_counter.php"); line, and then refreshed my index.php on the home page it gave somethen like headers where already sent or somethen, but it works now, works great!!!
so to answer the question: To get all those "Division by zeros" u will need to add this in your phpinclude template: include("vbs_counter.php"); (just incase u dont know, go into the admin cp, all the way down u will see Templates Add | Modify | Search Add Template Set --- Then click on the Modify link, expand the list for whatever style (default by default) ur useing, then find the phpinclude template. Click modify, and just past include("vbs_counter.php"); into it. also, u dont need the // ) your last question i cant help u with.... :ermm: |
