Thanks for the reply.

1. Where do you mean the global permissions? In options?

2. I created one gallery and set all of those I wanted permission to but I still don't see the upload box. When I check the usergroups permissions it only asks me if I want to make that usergroup admin.

Did you also check the instance permissions?

RPSmedia 08-10-2016 01:22 AM

I did, still nothing is showing up.

RPSmedia 08-12-2016 11:13 AM

I'd really like to get this working. I purchased the classifieds from you and will do the same if it can be.

DragonByte Tech 08-13-2016 06:49 PM

If you PM me with FTP and AdminCP information I can look into this @ Monday :)

Sent you a PM

Hi Fillip - haven't tried (yet!) can the importer for this import from Photopost Pro if it's running off a separate database and directory on the server? With PP now dead, looking to move a site over to this instead...

Unfortunately not, it must be installed on the current database and the files must be accessible in order for this mod to import it, sorry :(

Fillip

Trevor Hannant 10-12-2016 08:20 AM

No problem, thanks Fillip.

Might be worth a look as I'm sure there's a number of PP Pro users who'd like a fairly easy way to jump that ship.

Dragonsys 10-31-2016 04:17 PM

When trying to upload images to the gallery, I get the below, and the image is not uploaded.

That usually means permissions were not set correctly, can you double-check this for me please?

Fillip

Which permissions? If file permissions, what should they be? There is not mention of file permissions in the instructions.

If VB permissions, I'm Admin and have all of the permissions set properly on the Usergroup

MikeGF 11-09-2016 03:42 PM

I'm getting the exact same code errors as Dragonsys. What permissions do we need to set Fillip?

Try editing the gallery instance and set the max width/height of the thumbs/images

Sorry mate but where is that? I edit the plugin general/home/image options but cannot see any resize options between them.

You have to edit the Instance settings. ACP -> DBTech - Gallery -> Instance Management

Nah, don't have the DBTech - Gallery option. No instance Management option either :(

Found it :)

Cheers guys!

RichieBoy67 12-08-2016 06:23 AM

Can I try the light version to import my Photopost gallery? I do not want to get the pro version and then find out the import will not work.

##I have installed and I see the importer and I also see my installation of PP but when I run the importer is says it cannot find the files.. Where do I add a path for the PP image files?

Thanks

Looks like it is running but I do not see anything.. I have maybe around 1200 images in the one category I am importing. Been running for a couple minutes. It keeps refreshing but not showing anything.

RichieBoy67 12-19-2016 11:32 PM

##Wait a second on that.. I forgot I renamed my gallery file. I am going to try again. Thanks

Still doing the same thing but I will let it run and see what happens.

DragonByte Tech 12-21-2016 12:59 PM

That means missing phrases, did you import the new XML file?

Fillip

RichieBoy67 12-21-2016 01:42 PM

Yes I did import the xml and I also uploaded all the files.

A couple issues

## The import issue is the main file. I changed the name of the file and then added it to the settings but apparently it was still looking for the old default file..

The phrasing still isn't working. I will add these manually if I have time later.

Images do appear to be importing now. :)

DragonByte Tech 12-21-2016 01:55 PM

I've re-generated the XML file, can you re-download and re-import and let me know if that works better for you?

Fillip

RichieBoy67 12-21-2016 01:56 PM

Thanks my friend, I will give it a shot and will let you know.

RichieBoy67 12-21-2016 02:09 PM

No change at all Fillip.

Are you sure you re-downloaded the .zip file and re-uploaded the XML file with overwrite on, and not just modified the files?

No files were changed in this patch.

Fillip

RichieBoy67 12-28-2016 11:50 PM

Absolutely I did.

The only thing I can think of is Cloudflare is blocking it or some part of it though it shows the template being merged, etc.. I will try it tomorrow morning without cloudflare and see if that helps.

Thanks

RichieBoy67 12-29-2016 02:16 AM

Turns out it must have been cloudflare.

The only issue now is that it will run through pages and pages importing images but eventually it just stops. I have probably 100,000 images or more that need to be imported.. Any way I can import via command prompt?

There's no command line importer at this time, sorry.

There shouldn't be any timeout issues since it only imports a small amount of images at a time. The importer will stop on its own with an error message if it fails to import one or more of the images, but you will have the option to manually proceed to the next page. This is working as intended.

i wonder if it could be related to php version? i am working on a project right now that sounded similar and we are trying to find a way to get it all together...they have an older version of pp pro which was running on php 5.1...which of course vb4 does not like, so i think for a next try we might attempt running a 5.1 docker on gallery, and hopefully the importer will run properly....fingers crossed been on this one for a minute now

dgparent12 01-05-2017 06:58 PM

does this not work with the seo product you have ? All my gallery images just have regular names not nice html names like my pages, thnks

dgparent12 01-24-2017 03:10 PM

What I was hoping is that the url would be SEO friendly since I am also using your SEO plugin

mine look like this

dbtgallery.php?do=view_image&id=2125

not this

gallery/[instance_name]/image/[image_id]-[image_title].html

Like it says in the Gallery URL section of the SEO control panel - so the image title is not showing

Are you sure you have the latest version of both products?

Just a caveat for others.... :)

I'd be real careful with this mod..

Downloaded [DBTech] DragonByte Gallery v1.3.4 [Lite] from DragonByte site to test on vBulletin 4.1.3pl8

Uploaded files and imported XML...

Hung after updating various styles (hidden for site privacy in pic) and there never was a "finished" message. Note the odd character shown in pic after comment 1.2.3. I've seen this before in some of their other products and it may be a similar issue I reported and was acknowledged here, which is still not fixed... It seems to have the same last couple of characters hanging out there..

Quote:

Member Map Geolocation
_lat = 0 AND dbtech_membermap_lng = 0"); log_cron_action(vb_number_format($done), $nextitem, 1); ?>

Done

The result was that the install blew up our entire site and the garbage shown in the other pic started appearing before home page display on main web site and within AdminCP ahead of showing installed mods. ....

Fortunately, running un-install hopefully removed all of the additional tables this thing installed in our database, following which I manually removed all of the uploaded files.

Site seems to be running normally again....

Doug

This is what will happen if the install is attempted either before the files have been uploaded fully, or files have been uploaded incomplete. What you are seeing is PHP files being parsed as plain text.

If someone reports installation issues, I always offer to install the product for them if they can't get it working themselves. Would you be able to link me to your support ticket @ our site?
I would imagine any reasonable person would ask for support before deciding to post "warnings" about a product that seemingly installs fine for everyone else, so if you could link me to your support ticket I'd be happy to investigate why it wasn't resolved to your satisfaction.
