It can`t changed in Phrase Manager

Sure you can. The phrase is prodforums_priced - that's the only place where this language shows up.

It sounds really good! But I'm still not sure excactly what it does. Do you have a live/test site, where I can see it in action? :)

Thanks,
//Michael

Nope.

You may find a few signatures of people in this thread who have it installed but I'd say either a mod appeals to you from the description or it's not worth your time.

John Diver 04-08-2012 10:24 PM

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Is there a version for 3.8 or 3.7?

Thanks!

There is not. We stopped developing new mods or major upgrades for the 3.x series about a year ago.

Killhunter 04-17-2012 02:41 PM

Are you still working on it? Here an nice idea i got some minutes before:

Add release date to products. Members can just review the product, if the release date is reached.

Would be so nice to see this feature in next release! :)

Thank you for the suggestion.

And as I've mentioned before, remember, our mods are just a baseline to get you started. They will never do everything each site needs and should not be left "out of the box".

Where do a alter the size of the images?

imported_stefan 04-18-2012 03:12 PM

1. I like this MOD as well and try to use it also. Is there a simple way to get rid of the shown Price Field at all, because I don't need it for the one purpose :-)

2. Can I install it a seccond time on my forum with an different purpose? I asume thats a lot f work, right?

doobiefillin 04-18-2012 05:13 PM

anyone have a demo of this in action?

Images are remotely hosted and set at whatever size they are.

Sure. It's just a template line you can delete, change, bold, whatever you like.

Yes it's possible but you'd have to hack every reference to a new table / variable.

ludachris 04-19-2012 11:09 PM

Wish this was available for 3.8... nice looking add-on.

goowa 05-03-2012 01:18 PM

I'm having a strange problem.

I have this set up in a "Review" forum, and I've added all the items for review.
I can go in as myself and rate/review an item and it works fine.

When my members try it, all of their review are going to moderation. The real problem is I can't approve the posts. I select them just as I normally would and try to approve, and I get a message that says
"You did not select any posts to which the action you picked can be applied."

I don't have any settings turned on in this mod that should send posts to moderation, nor do I have any turned on to automatically moderate my forum in general.

Any suggestions?

Ted S 05-04-2012 09:11 AM

The mod doesn't change any settings (it follows however the forum is setup) so for the sake of argument try adjusting the settings down or up and see if that makes the moderation queue go away (or work correctly).

Can I rate different aspects of a product? I mean, for example product xx
Easy to use?: Rate
Easy to uninstall?: Rate
Intuitive?: Rate

Doesn't seem to generate a meta description on ours?

Wizza 05-08-2012 06:37 AM

That's not a feature of the mod.

Does the mod display an option to click thru the product at all?

Athena1984 05-16-2012 07:22 AM

First I would like to say this mod is great! I love the idea and love that it's designed as a "baseline" however, I don't know anything about coding. Would it be possible to add thread thumbnails and thumbnails for the productforums.php? If so, how would I go about doing this?

Because the does not (currently) store photos doing image manipulation and thumbnails would be quite a page. You could however add a field for a smaller image version and then tweak the custom forumdisplay template to show it... that's probably easier than resizing every image.

Phrost 05-17-2012 03:22 PM

Apologies if this has been asked recently, but is there any word on multiple ratings categories per individual product (ala GARS)?

Nothing on the calendar just yet... Interest in the mod has slowed so we've stepped towards other projects.

You'd have to add a field to the database table to house the thumbnail url, then an admin script change to manage it and of course pull it back out from the front-end however you see fit.

It's more than basic styling but short of full blown coding.

How much would you charge to get that feature added... or at least to get this back on the top of your priority list?

We don't offer custom development... It's simply a matter of knowing there's enough interest to dedicate time to the project.

Killhunter 05-21-2012 04:36 PM

Is there any option to change a rating?

Is there any option to correct the "stats" shown in postbit (they are wrong because of tests, i finally deleted the test reviews)?

When will you fix this bug, that you cant edit products which arent at the first page, because you cant change the page?

thank you :)

As an admin you can edit a review comments although tampering with something beyond content moderation is a big no-no.

You can reset the reviews on a product through the database. There is no resync script to do it for you.

This was fixed months ago.

Screenshots are in the first post. I don't host a demo site but you can find example urls from other members -- just remember they're live installs.

vB 4.2 update: Reviews have been tested with no issues. We'll be doing a small feature update on the mod this week and will work through the rest of the features at that time.

Not really... it doesn?t work for me (vBulletin 4.0.3).

jaderollie 05-23-2012 11:10 PM

Ill be adding this to my magic forum, as it will be ideal on helping magicians review effects, or tricks to buy

Ok, I've been looking over this comment for a few days trying to figure out what you're talking about but, I'm completely lost. Can you explain step by step how to do this?

Sorry, teaching someone to code is simply not practical. There are however many websites that you can learn from.

If you want to extend a mod beyond it's scope you have three feasible options:

1. Hope the mod author adds the change into the main version
2. Hire someone to make the change (see the paid services forum)
3. Learn enough about code to make the change yourself

Athena1984 05-24-2012 03:47 AM

Ok, thanks anyway.

Killhunter 05-25-2012 10:10 PM

If a user has not wrote any review there should be no link in the stats.
