everything seems to be working except vBA isn't showing notifications properly. It's a setting n vBA that is missing, but I'm unsure what the notification system is looking for as a requirement.

to answer your question as to why I have both, the reason I have both the vB Suite and vBA is to test for mods on both systems.

The database errors have been fixed in this version. However, the foreign character bug remains unfixed.

At least I can enable this mod again. Thanks for the update.

Arabic fixes were not part of 6.1, it was a separate glitch we fixed. This will hopefully be fixed in 6.2. Some of your issues, the RTL, will be an issue. may need a separate CSS. Not toO experienced in RTL.

I hope to fix the RTL & Arabic issues in version 6.2
I want to buy it but I don't want to buy it now and I know I cannot use it in this stage. Once the issues for lite version solved I will buy it.

This doesn't seem to be fixed (accents). I have to uninstall again.

Upgrade from 6.0 but doesnt work. Loading everytime, but nothing comes to display. See the Screen.

Love this mod. Having trouble with the drop down box from the users name.

Anyone else experiencing this or figured out a solution?

Instead of it dropping down it goes straight to the users cp.

Also, it'd be awesome if the 'Thumbs Up' mod was also a notificaiton.

Do you have vbseo enabled? You may want to uninstall reinstall .xml as well, see if that works.

This is a css conflict issue. You can #1, add our css to the top of additional.css and that might fix it.

Version 6 of this mod is awesome. Once a few more of these minor bugs are fixed i shall be purchasing.

I am definitely interested in this product, but not until it proves itself stable. There is no such thing as experimenting on a corporate board. So if anyone is using this product and has an active daily user base of at least 500 or better; please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.

Does vbSocial add functionality to vbulletins notification email system?
i.e. does it add email notifications for all of the notifications?

If yes, then how does it handle the mass of email that it generates? I mean: if a user doesn't visit the site for a day and receives hundreds of notifications, then thats a big problem.

Better email notifications are of massive value, as they would draw members back to the site, similar to how facebook does that. This would cause a major activity increase for forums.

I'm just waiting for the foreign character bug to be fixed. I asked my users to bear with it for the time being.

1. Notifications through IM (XMPP/IM gateway).
   Adding more notification methods will increase the impact of vbsocial to draw members to the site.
2. Notifications through PUSH mobile apps
3. Notifications through browser addons
4. Notification grid similar to facebook and IPB, to allow users to select for which events they want to be notified and by which methods (on site, email, IM, Mobile, browser). Adding a notification grid will allow users to set which notifications they find important and give them control.

yeah, that didn't work. cmps is still showing the standard notifications. works everywhere else though...

how di i remove the blue box around the user name? my forum colors do not look good with the blue box. i want it clear.

edit: search the livenotifications.css for "#7192A8" and erase it. 100% better, wouldn't use this mod with the blue box. it was ugly as hell.

Few questions an problems:

1. Shouldn't default "notfications" be removed in menu since the mod has that feature? Mine still shows both.

2. CSS issue, please screenshot.

Your mod's css is cramped height and font color white, hard to read. How do I replicate it to look like my default notifications drop down?

That occurs when you've copied the css wrong. It might be an existing issue with your css in additional.css.

If you get that curl issue, then its not accepting the new css, and thats why this solution isn't applying, but I believe its the right solution to your issue.
