Installed on multi-lingual forum.
English language file properly imported for both languages.

When the second language (default) is selected chatbox is just loading and noting more, there is no possibility to chat for the users. When the first language is selected chatbox start to functions without any problems. If I change back to second (default) language the problem still exists.

Solution?

Can you try to reformulate your sence please ? Coz this doesn't seem to be understandable english :)

What are the languages you have ?

Becareful when uploading an english language file on a language which could have a different character set it could leads to problems.

English, encoding: standard ISO-8859-1.
Macedonian, encoding: Cyrillic Windows-1251.

How to solve the problem for the second language?

For the second language, you have to edit its options and change it back to the good encoding I suppose.

I uploaded the EN file and still everything is in france, so i really dont know what to do.

Any idee what i did wrong?

However I am not able to install the commands. Can you pls explain how should I add those commands.

I am not able to locate 'Command management system" for importing the xml files as mentioned in your command readme file.

You import the commands, including channels from AdminCP >> MGC Chatbox Evo >> Manage commands

How do I get rig of channels? I am unable to find any "channel disable" option :S I want a simple shoutbox..

No normally importing the language file is just what you have to do :)

It's in the admincp. You have the manage commands menu link in the chatbox evo menu.

You can't hide the general channel button currently.

Have you correctly set usergroup permissions ?

It's possible to modify the popup thing yes.

However, if the user paste a link "as is" in the chatbox there is nothing I can do.

I uploaded the ''lang'' EN and everything is still France.

When I ban a member, a PM is being send to him and I can see him in the banned list.

But he is still able to chat.

Refresh Errors Gone: So if my chatbox refresh rate is set to say 10 I get all those errors I have posted here. I changed the refresh rate to 20 and no longer get any errors.

So what code can I change or add to get the link button to include text and the url please. I understand that if a user posts a url they will still be able to counter this. I still need it for my mods though.

You have not followed instructions correctly.

You were supposed to overwrite english language with the file I provide not create a new one ;)

Don't worry, the overwrite doesn't mean overwriting everything but just adding the phrases to the english languagE.

It's not a so simple bit of code, I haven't thought at it yet so won't be able to provide you with one.

I won't be able to work on it before 2 or 3 weeks sorry.

sooo, I just got an email saying the file was updated but the version hasn't changed....has something new been added or did i get the email by mistake?

The file was updated for italian language purpose :)

Could someone please help me with uninstalling this Chatbox.... Never imported the product itself, it is not showing up in my Products/Plugins. I changed the language settings and uploaded the files and images in my root. I am a bit apprehensive with the delete button and don't want to delete something and mess up my forum. Is there a search I can do in AdminCP to remove the contents of the MGC?

This custom rewrite rules have yo be used if you have vbseo installed on your forum.

If it's not the case I am not sure that can you use it your htaccess.

am I missing something? I imported the English xml language file yet the Chatbox ACP is written in French/Italian, is there any way I can change it to English?

its not working with vb 3.7.0 Beta 6

I installed it at Beta 4 and was working fine but now i upgraded to 3.7.0 Beta 6 and now its giving me database error.
Some thing isnt working in vbshout.php

If you want the Chatbox at the top of the Real-Time Threads/Posts, do the following...

• Go in the admincp in the "Display and Position" options
• Activate the option "Display the chatbox on defined pages of the forum in a variable" or the "Display the chatbox on defined pages under the navbar"
• In the pages list, add "vaispy" and then save

Edit your vaispy.php file and find....

Directly under $navbar, add....

Save.

Reload /forums/vaispy.php and it should be at the top of the page.

this is prollly a dum question but I cant get the team image to show up in the edit a channel area

I'm stumped to what I put in Name of the channel image / Don't put the file extension nor the sel/nosel suffix. Must be a early mourning brain fart if some one could help me that would be great much appriciated

i am wondering when i install the chatbox is it gonna effect the website and get is slower? is it going to load more add to Cpu or constrains the server?

It will of course depends of the configuration you choose :)

If you set a refresh rate far too low, then you server will slow down, however if you use a normal refresh rate everything should run fine.

When I try to unzip the [vB3.6.x-vB3.7.x]MGC_Chatbox_Evo_0.3.0.zip (using Window's XP builtin unzip software) I get:
Password Needed for file 'mgc_cb_evo_cmd'. Clicked on Skip File and got a bunch more files that required a password to unzip.
Note: I had no problem unzipping MGC_Chatbox_Evo_0.2.1.zip.
Does anyone have a workaround or know what I'm doing wrong here?

Got a quick question. I've done the temp fix for the banning issue. People do get banned now but only after 10 minutes or so. What is up with that? They instantly get a PM saying that they are banned but they can moan about it for 10 more minutes before they can't use the shoutbox anymore.

I hope you know a fix for this problem coz it really messes my shoutbox up.
