Also my forum members just reported and I verfified that it is not working the Preview as well. It is nice mod and I don't want to downgrade it back to prior version so I hope that bugs can be removed.

nix 09-05-2007 03:05 AM

That think works fine.

I've said it doesn't work in the quick reply and preview right now. All you have to do is refresh the page.

rammbs 09-05-2007 05:42 AM

installed with out any problem on 3.6.8! Thanks for sharing!!!

racechick20 09-05-2007 07:36 AM

*installed* with thanks! :D

princeedward 09-05-2007 08:22 AM

...but not yet stable...sometimes it has error...i don't know why this happen...sometimes it works but as i said...sometimes it create error, especially no preview and quick reply... anyway thanks a lot for the hardwork...also for adding ESPN...

you might add also next the http://www.teachertube.com there's a lot of interesting video also there...

keep it up!

nix 09-05-2007 08:33 AM

I would say its stable. Its not going to mess up your forums. But a few sites need tweaking. The no preview and quick reply I've tried to tell people so they don't freak out. I'll look for away to get it in there.

racechick20 09-05-2007 09:06 AM

Hey.

I have followed all installation instructions very carefully, have ensured that the 'Enable video sites globally' is set to yes and all individual video settings are set as I want them. I am getting an 'Unsupported file type' error when pasting and tagging YouTube and Google videos. These are the only two I have tried. Have I goofed up somewhere?

nix 09-05-2007 10:58 AM

post a link that wont work.

btw... yah... major problems after try to EDIT a post with a media tag.

both in quick edit (post would DISAPPEAR then edits wouldn't "take") and advanced edit (got that db error :()

GrendelKhan{TSU 09-05-2007 02:53 PM

hmmm... browsers really don't like playing uploaded media file (like wmv file).

- does weird thing, plays, then freezes/crashes FireFox.
- IE7: doesn't play, close the player (close button only appears on mouseover), then crashes page if try to play again.

AGain, videos work for flashsite permalinks as long as you don't try to edit the post. and don't seem to work and crashes browsers for uploaded wmv files.

schlottkej 09-05-2007 02:58 PM

How can blip.tv be added to this list of active files?

BUG:
using the [ noparse ] bbcode with the [ media ] tag causes a db error.

INCOMPATIBILITY:
[ media ] causes db error when post a new wiki article using nuWiki

demo:
Unreal Tournament WIKI
UA's wiki for Unreal Tournament

that's not the code you are supposed to use. you are supposed to use the PERMANENT LINK URL.

NOT the embed code.

I have also tried this with a .flv file we have on another of our servers which works perfectly on the old AnyMedia running on 3.5.4 but all I get is a blank post on 3.6.8.

edit post shouldn't effect it. I wonder if its because of vbseo.

Hum. you don't use the embed code.

nix 09-06-2007 01:05 AM

I can't even get to stage6 with the www in the address. Only http://stage6.com. Also that video doesn't seem to exist. It says that user doesn't have any videos.

Chadi 09-06-2007 09:00 PM

I'm guessing this does not play mp3?

I tried this from sermonindex.net

[media]http://64.34.176.235/sermons/SID13928.mp3[/media]

It told me this:

" Error: unsupported media type."

flash mp3 player is enabled in my anymedia options too

nix 09-06-2007 09:37 PM

That link worked for me. Check your settings one more time to make sure you didn't over look anything.

Chadi 09-06-2007 09:49 PM

Maybe its vbseo? I certainly have all enabled.

Chadi 09-06-2007 09:53 PM

PS: it would be truly awesome if you can also have power point presentation format allowed! Just thought of this :)

Chadi 09-07-2007 08:37 PM

Ok, I realize when posting its best to hard refresh the page before trying to click the link ( most of the time).

Anyway, streaming windows audio (wax format) shows the player, but it assumes it a video so it shows it as video player instead of the mini audio player. Can you fix this please?

Thanks.

nix 09-07-2007 08:58 PM

You shouldn't have to hard refresh the page unless you use quick reply. But I'm going to fix that for the next release.

The mini player only works for mp3. Flash players can't play windows media.

iogames 09-07-2007 09:36 PM

Wow! what a thread what a hack, why don't you branch off in a product?
still waiting for final version :P

nix 09-07-2007 09:46 PM

branch off in product?

princeedward 09-08-2007 01:51 PM

 what this??? or is it normal...that all link i submit to any post...the media tag overtake it...how can we avoid this???...

what i mean...even if i attach normal link it will use the media tag...??? and also the image will automatic thumbnail size...???

can we avoid all of this or is there any solution for this...

thanks and best regards...

Wolf_Hook 09-08-2007 07:22 PM

I am pretty sure that this question has been asked before but I would like to ask myself for piece of mind.

My forum is quite reliant on members posting videos that are hosted on our own server or others, they are encoded into flv format and posted with media tags around them

Here is an example.

http://www.madamejapan.com/WEMANIACS...18/gdvhhhl.flv

Is there something that I am not doing correctly or a setting somewhere I haven't turned on?

I have recently just imported an old VB forum into the latest release and installed this hack. I have to say that the implementation of Highslide AJAX is quite impressive.

Tralala 09-08-2007 07:34 PM

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2007/09/40.jpg

I preferred the old "single, frozen video frame" of AnyMedia 3.0.x.

In the absence of that, how about a way to customize the default image?

Do you mean media links? or just regular urls?

What happens when you post that link on your forum?

I'm going to add the old style back so you'll have a choice. If you want to change the image just upload a new one and overright it.

Also I've fixed the quick-reply and preview post. I really appreciate everyone being patient to get this were it needs to be.

JayT123 09-08-2007 10:49 PM

Isn't there supposed to be the players image? All I am getting is a link. If not, is there a way to add the image instead of the link?

nix 09-08-2007 11:23 PM

Yea its just a template. I have the image in the next version that will be out. If you don't want to wait just edit the anymedia template for mp3's.

Basboss 09-09-2007 08:42 AM

Thanks for sharing :)

I have tried posing a link with real media file, I have tried .ram, .ra, and .rm but none works!
After sumbitting the post I get nothing.

Thanks again

what i mean here bro nix is if i post or include all kinds of url's link...even if its not came from video sites...just a normal... like http://www.vbulletin.org or image url link
when i press the preview post button... the media tags overtake it...it will become...

[media]http://www.vbulletin.org[/media]

and also if i post image now, it all becomes thumbnail size...or sometimes...they are inside the media player...:p
i guess i don't like this idea or the styles, or is there any possible solution for all of this not to happen...sorry for that bro...just my 2 cents...

so at the moment i just put back or install the old version..

:(

Wolf_Hook 09-09-2007 12:03 PM

Hi Nix, thanks for your reply.

I have included a screenshot of what happens when I post that supplied link.

It just doesn't like it.
