Thanks for that. i have double checked the paths and other settings in the localsettings.php file and still had no luck.

The error i am getting seems to be refering to line 551 in database.class.php which is:

$message .= 'Date: ' . $this->_zoints->external->date(TIME, 'm-d-Y h:i a') . "<br />\n";

I cant work out what setting effects this line tho. any ideas?

When using the profile editor and clicking "upload image" on any of the selections, I get this error:

Invalid error code (invalid section)

i read through the post and found nothing on about my problems. Will this work for a windows server? i don't have mod rewrite and is there another solution to get this to work without mod rewrite?

^Yea it works on a Windows Server but you just don't get to use the Dynamic URL's. Well not unless you have a component to rewrite the URL's. I'm running it on Windows Server.

Thanks to the Author for the Bug Fixes. Your work is much appreciated. This is a great add on. I will upgrade my forum to the new version :D

I have downloaded and installed Zoints as well as configured it. now I'm trying to access this block: http://dev.zoints.com/showthread.php?t=28 (additional profile fields).

I go to the link, click on the file and I can't download it. So I try to log in and I'm taken to a manual log-in page. I'm asked to copy the code and click on proceed. When I do, I'm taken to just a blank page.

I realize that the plug-in I mentioned above will probably pull in the fields that were created (at least I'm hoping so). Is it safe to assume that the drop down won't be lost either? I'm imagining that as long as the fields are stored at the same place, the drop down will still look at the same location for the information. Correct?

I am interested in this product but is it taking parent styles now?

As it was the problem when it was launched few months back, if it take parent style atutomatically I will install or else I will have to wait until it takes.

I have recently noticed an issue ( as of last night) I have more members starting to use the Zoints Profile system and what I am finding is, some can not log in - this happened to me as well ( the admin) after I logged in as a different user to test if it was their account, and then when I logged out - it will not allow me to log in at all to my zoints profile. I cn view it, but not log in. I tried deleting the cookies and trying again - to no avail. I even uninstalled Zoints, cleared the tables and re-installed and still members can not access their profiles and on the computer that I used to test the account, I had to run a query just to get my admin account back.

Is there a query I can run to update ALL member profiles so they have access to them and are logged in?

I installed this modification last week and I think it's a very good mod. However, my members are having a problem modifying the modules on the profile. Some of them don't seem to have the wrench icon that I have. I noticed today that the ones having the problems are the regular members that aren't admins or moderators. I looked over the options and I don't see anything that differentiates members from admins or mods. I even logged into their accounts to see what I can see and the profiles are fully able to be edited on my computer.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

there's issues with this and no one can't answer if the works on window base server so can't use any of zoints product till it's available for windows servers

IIRC, you can just do a local version.

The main reason for the registration is to help network communities together.

However, the developer can probably explain it 100x better.

Rephrasing my previous question, is this software a standalone? For example, can I fully operate this, and all of its functions without relying on outside sources (ex. staying within my domain name 100% of the time?) I wouldn't want want any activity to be outsourced.

Thats the whole point of zoints local. Everything is maintained LOCAL.

There is an option to search the other communities, but by signing up to Zoints, your forum is included in that search - I've seen many incoming visitors off of Zoints referred links

But, i have problem with non-latin characters in blog titles and some other parts.
Is it becouse of my mistake, or now Zoints is not multilang?

Kind of cool. Kind of scary.

I am a complete newbie so help me out with the following questions:

1.Can you set it up so that it dosen't need to link with Zoints.com and elimnate the gloabal search?

2.Will members be able to upload backgrounds, music, etc. to their profiles?

3.Will this affect the security of the board?

4.Can you set it up so that it links directly t the vb buddy list?

5.Is it fairly easy to make it look like the rest of your board and not part of a completely different forum?

6.What are blocks anyways (told you I was a newbie)?:o

I'm a newbie to vB too...but I would say I really support your points like #2,4,5.
I wish my members could do that, too. so.....looking forward on updates later.

btw, does Zoints using phrase? I think i'm going to translate them into Traditional Chinese (HK) if permission from author is given so my members can really enjoy it. Some members don't really enjoy reading English instruction :)
If permission is given, the "Trad. Chinese translated" version can also be posted on vbulletin-china.cn which is an official vB site having Chinese as targeted customer.

Anyway this can only be done after the crazy sat @ TMR :(

if i wanted to add a html block for a feilds on the vb how would i code it so it works right

djjeffa - I've been trying to figure out the same thing for a few weeks now....only to effectively be stone walled...I still can't log into the Dev area of Zoints to download any blocks....

This is the block that the developer wrote to pull the normal profile information. I'm trying to pull fields 18-32 instead of fields 1-5 like this block seems to pull. No dice on my end, but it might help you seeing as how it pulls location, etc on our board.

You can't, thats not how it was designed. The best you could do is make a zoints style that matched your forums, and make it public so people could use it.

I currently run a forum that acts as a hub/central forum for a bunch of sites. They are placed into primary usergroups according to their referring site. Will any of the features, especially the groups feature, affect the usergroups in any way?

when I add http://mysite/forum/z/install/index.php
I get a 404 page not found. So I added an install folder copied the index.php to it an get an error page,,,,What do I need to do to get this functioning?

EDIT: Some of the files didnt load...

I installed zoints and it looks great, but "Profiles" drop down menu is not showing up on my homepage. It appears once i click on my profile under "quick links" but that's it. I placed $zointsprofile_popup_navbar in the navbar template, which now shows two drop down menus once i click on my profile.

Wondering how i fix this? Thanks.
