This is how to correct that.... I learned to do this from another member!

When you installed the moods, you also went in manually and changed some things in some files. Go back are undo what you did. that will take away the second "Moods" that is being shown.

If this does now make any scense, then go back a few pages on this thread and you will see what Im talking about...

Goood Luck...

P.S. Take advantage of the added moods about a page back in zip format!!!!... AWSOME!!!
and add them to the rest of what you have....

Yep.
In CMPS -> Default Settings -> Portal Output Global Variables
Add the following
Code:

usermoods
vbmoods

and then the navbar template edits will work on the portal.

On my vBA CMPS, the mood doesn't show. Im using 3.6.8PL2.
Can anyone help me with this?

Need help again... Just added a new skin, and I spent the whole night moving everything over to it... The "Mood Change" is in the members status area, but when I click mine to change the mood to a different Icon, its blank. I checked the path and its all there!!! Other members are saying the same things....

Suggestions...????

Thanks!

Dingo14 12-27-2007 09:59 AM

hey i added this hack and now i get this Private Messages: %1$s, %2$s.> when i click PM it gives 404 error on default style but on others its ok any help thanks

towermatt 12-27-2007 07:46 PM

Worked great! Thank you so much.

shaynehammy 12-29-2007 09:21 AM

Strange, I selected a blank gif by mistake and now cant select or change my moods. any ideas?

Lean Bodies 12-31-2007 12:38 AM

I think I've got everything done right, but clearly I don't.

Up under Private Messages I've got a inactive 'My Mood' link. Not sure what I've done wrong.

Lean Bodies 12-31-2007 12:50 AM

Ok, I have that corrected. I had moods instead of mood for the image folder.

However, a person can only see their own mood under the Private Message section. Isn't it supposed to show up so everyone can see it?

JodiSal 12-31-2007 01:15 AM

I added this hack but I get double moods in the profile part of a person's post and also, the moods don't completely show up in the drop down box so you can't tell which mood you've chosen until you pick one. Help please! Otherwise cool mod!

JodiSal 12-31-2007 01:33 AM

Nevermind! I figured it out in the options! I was auto-inserting AND revising templates so that's why I saw double. Also, I changed my list to just list the mood instead of the smiley. It works out great that way! Lovely mod thank you!! :)

iou1 01-01-2008 06:06 PM

I've had this hack installed for awhile now and my members are beginning to post saying that they see it in their posts but not up by their name. I haven't changed anything so I'm curious if ay changes were made to this hack.

I imported into the mood file but these don't show up in my mood selector on the forum? Is there something else that has to be done first?

iulianh 01-02-2008 11:03 PM

You need to add them in your Admin CP, as well, under VBulletin options, under Mood Manager. Also, make sure you spell them exactly like they are in the uploaded files.:)

Weird bug:

I just discovered this from one of my members: If you turn off Private messaging, the Mood manager control disappears.

Mood Manager version 1.2.5
vBulletin version 3.6.8 PL2

If you're using the plugin method to update the template, it is looking for the PM phrase $vbphrase[private_messages_nav] to insert the Mood Manager drop-down. With PMs turned off you'll need to do the template change manually.

No. Perhaps I wasn't clear. The add-on is already installed and has been for some time, and it works fine for most members. One member notified me that his Mood Manager control (where one changes the mood) had "disappeared" - which was true. On investigating, I discovered he had disabled Private Messaging. I turned PMs on and the control reappeared; turned them off again and it disappeared again.

I can replicate this at will. Try it yourself.

This is a bug in the mod, not an installation issue.

Traxdata 01-03-2008 07:32 AM

I have strange behavior on 3.7.b3.
If you have some notifications (more than zero) so mood changer is not visible anymore (= you cant change your mood). only if there are zero pms or friend requests (etc,) for you, so you can see mood changer again and change your mood.

xXTheOneRavenXx 01-04-2008 05:13 PM

Does it fix this problem:

I have run into one major issue with the code. Since I'm not really a coder myself, I was hoping someone could help me with this one. I installed the normal version of this code by Sniper, (following all instructions to a tee), but this is how it looks in all my users profiles:

No, it is not a bug in the mod. Re-read what I wrote above and you'll see why.

xXTheOneRavenXx 01-04-2008 08:14 PM

Okay PM's are enabled, I also did a complete uninstalled and reinstalled of the mod with the new animated smilies (Which works fine) except the moods are still repeditive in the member profiles. lol, I hope I'm not sounding like a total idiot, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I reviewed the .xml to make sure everything matched the images just to make sure there was no error there. Then I looked to make sure Auto Edit In Postbit was on instead of manually inputting the code in the templates, etc...
