I think the hack is great and it does send out the email in 3.6.5
It's just the referrer link is broke

notice the link include the first word "We" on the following line of the referrer code

can't you just fix that in via editing the phrase? Add a carriage return in there.

and added a carriage return
uploaded and overwrote the existing plugin


and all works just fine..

As for your question, the SSL support is required for the msn contact grabber because msn is an SSL-based protocol, and SSL is required to connect to it.

I just installed this on the 3.6.7 PL1 version and is working perfectly, but when i first imported the product and went to use the system gave me DB errors, so i disabled and re-imported and all is working fine now...so just thought i would mention this since there is no other invitation system outside of beta stages that i have found...

its working just perfect on 3.5.7

ok so the cron not working is why i cant seem to find any cron manager, or am i just lookin in the wrong place for it. also what effects does the crons not working have on the mod.

ok, i have it installed and it shows in the user cp BUT when i click on "Click Here To Invite New Users to Our Board!" or "invite" it goes to an error 404 page. im pretty sure its newbie error on this so take it lightly please, im learnin :D

ok found that problem but now theres a new one. in options i set the number of invites to 3 per person and it only allows 3 however it continues to say "Issue New Invitation (10 invites left)" above the invites. how do i get this to show actual?

It's not three per person, it's three at a time. :)

he/she mentions that the cron isnt working, but as far as other stuff it was working correctly for me, although that was the only modification that i had installed on that board

We're having a problem with invites that are sent to hushmail because the "We" in the next sentence is taken in as part of the verification code and URL. IF I could only find the page that has this formatting on it, possibly I could place the sentence beginning with "We" a line down so that wouldn't happen.

Any possible way the commercial version can be installed without ioncube loader like this mod as my shared host doesnt have ioncube.

It's easy to just install ioncube yourself. Pretty sure you just FTP the files over.

I'm a commercial customer & can log into his Client Area just fine to download.

I wasn't a customer. They had announced that they were working on a version that was customizable and didn't need Ionloader to run and I was waiting for it to come out before purchasing it. I think there were a lot of people like me waiting for it.

Kind of bummed to see it go away. I'll have to start coding it on my own now. :(

Sorry to pimp another hack, but if this one's abandoned by the developer, I'm not sure what other options folks have.

I'd hate to call it abandoned - I don't think we know the whole story. He's done a lot of development and I don't think he'd just leave it without a good reason.

I installed v1.4 from here and it seems ok - but now I'm looking for a way to get the invitee automatically joined to the usergroups of the invitor. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

I am trying to invite someone but am getting this error:

"The following invites were not sent out either because these people are already registered, have already been invited, or have opted out of receiving invitations:"

This user is not currently registered, and has no record/memory of being previously invited by any forum member. It's entirely possible someone else has invited him, but I'd have no way of knowing who it was, and when.

So how can I clear his (rejected) email from the invite database, to allow for me to invite him? Or, can I turn this "check" off (temporarily, perhaps) so I can invite him even though he may have been invited before?

I was going to buy it. The guy was on holiday and due back 1 Aug. I go there 5 Aug to buy it, and gone :(
