where would I put this to get it work only in specific forums? (is that even possible?)
ps. I absolutely love this. ^^ sometimes its the little things that make people happy. ;) :p |
I just tested and it works with Firefox and IE. The first time I tried to do it though IE just continued to load and never worked. Now I just need some bats or ghosts instead of the fish.
|
its works but there is a problem with the firefox which cant allow to you to click on the buttoms unders the flash file ! even if it works and u see ur forum . i think to let it play with the IE explorer now and hide it while users browse with firefox is the Best way now .
to do that just change the code from PHP Code:
PHP Code:

Is there a way to turn this on and off or would I have to remove the code when I didn't want it on the site?
|
u must remove it if u dont want it coz its not a hack or a plugin system !
|
mabey a plugin would be nice so we can turn on / off at whim and jsut change the .swf ever so often?
|
Has this been updated yet so that members can turn it on and off? :)
|
no . i dont know how to make it plugin ................. accualy i did not try it .
|

I got this working in FF and IE. However, when in FF, the links are not selectable. I did not solve this, but worked around it by telling the width and height to be 1024 by 250 and setting the left and top to 0px so that the flash file hugs the top and left and does not overlay my links.
The only drawback to this is that my logo used to be a link and went to the forumhome page and now it does not work in FF. Still , this is usable in it's current state as my forum is using a fish theme. http://www.hidingplace.com/vbb350/index.php Good job |
wow that great site u have bitg ....
and nice to hear that is working .... |
Glad you like it. It is a small site, but I like it. One of my first of many sites I have.

and it takes more time to logout !! |
Well, after updating Security pack from MS, then the Fish seems to be my problem. The white fram appears and I have to click to active something. It can be seen from this image.
http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/2441/89ym.jpg Any thought ?? |
Yep, that's the new MS security fix for ActiveX plug-ins. You can reset the security fix with a hotfix from Microsoft's website that will make IE perform like it used to with ActiveX and Flash. But in June that fix will be obsolete and I think we're stuck with "click to activate".

Nice hack =) And acidburn0520...just to let you know as well, you do say "fishes" when they are of different types. So maybe the coder meant that =P But yup, nice hack
|
Has anyone figured out how to make the links clickable under the fish?
|
