im wondering if this will interfere with the advanced warning system?
it has options for disable sig, ava, and pms, if the user's warning level is high enough just checking |
No. Should play together nicely.
|
Great plugin thanks.
|
Is this still in beta? According to the checkbox it is...
|
Yes it is.
Probably will always be :) |
Any plans to add a postbit-side feature? ;)
There was a hack for vB2 and possibly vB3 that allowed Admins & Mods to edit signatures & avatars from the postbit, by clicking the link and having a popup window displayed - Simply being able to disable them (via an AJAX click cos me likes teh AJAX) would be teh coolies :D Chris |

Nice! :)

Hello ,
is there away to disable change password and email address , please if there is please let us know regards |
is there anyway to make this lock the avatar to one the admin chooses ?
i know it will keep them from using a custom one, but i would like them to have to keep the one we/i give em, on a per user basis. |
Set their Avatar, then set it to locked - thne they should not be able to use another custom one.
However, I think they can use standard avatars. |
could it be changed so they couldn't pick any avatar ?
or maybe just get an error message when they try ? |
Great hack Andreas! I tried to use the Admin Force Ignore, but the person is still able to see "This message is hidden because User Name is on your ignore list." message, and is able to view the post by clicking on the View Post link. Is there a way to hide this completely, like Tachy Goes To Coventry option, including the last post column and the ignore list in the user cp? Thanks :)
|
This is the way individual ignore does work, don't think it is possible to do it like tachy - as tachy requires counter updates, which can't be done as it wouldn't be a system wide tachy.
But you might be able to just modify the postbit_ignore template. |
Thank you Andreas this works great!
Just one problem is there anyway to disable the custom Avatars for a single user? Thanks again Install |
Hi i have been using this mod for ages, i was wondering if it will be ported to 3.6?
or will it work as it is in 3.6? |
how about modifying it so my super moderators can use it too?
|
good hack - thanks (install)
|
ive just installed it on 3.6, and it appears to be fine.

I'm not sure the PM disabling will work on 3.6.1 as they've slightly changed how it works. |
|
Great hack, is there away to add an overide for Invisible Mode?
|
You can turn invisible mode on/off in a member's user options though of course they can put it back. Or you can enable/disable per usergroup.
Unless you mean is there a way to stop them going invisible on a user-by-user basis. |
in 3.6.2 the sig part works however the avatar part does not, can anyone help?
|
Works perfectly for me in 3.6.3
|
Thank you so much for this!!
Installed! |
Hi...
I'm sorry to drag this up from the past but although I've tried using Search, I'm not finding a newer version of this and could really use the Admin Forced Ignore feature. We're using version 3.6.7L Will this work for this version? I'm very new to this vB admin stuff and hesitant to mess with things too much. Thanks for any help. :) |
I use this no problem on 3.6.7 and up without any problem.
|
Thank you for getting back to me TigerWare. :)
Hopefully it's not to difficult to install and use. edited to ask.. I've DLd it, read the instructions but don't see anything that tells me where abouts do I install genpermoverride.xml? Directions would be very helpful and appreciated, thanks. |
Kirby, a suggestion for future versions.... It would be nice to be able to prohibit a user from turning OFF their PM function. The admins on our site use PMs to notify members of infractions, etc. and we have a couple of users who have turned off their PM function. We'd like the ability to force the PM function on, on a user by user basis.

TigerWare - Thank you! That "instructions" page is now Bookmarked and moved to a spot where I can find it easily. :)
This product is installed now and I was pleasantly surprised that it so much easier then I had anticipated. |
Does this still work for 3.7 ?
|
It should.
|
We're using 3.7.0, and every time we try to save a name in the Forced Ignore portion it will not save it. No error message or anything...it's just not there when we go back to that user (and the names added to the ignore list are not blocked). All other changes using this hack are saved when we toggle them.
Any idea what the problem could be? |
You must enter IDs, not Usernames.
|
Since the Admin override for the custom profile pic and custom avatar are part of 3.7 now, will installing this cause any problems with that at all?
|
Tested on vb 3.7.1 PL1 - 100% perfect, thanks
