This is truely excellent - thank you - thank you!
Still running in RC1 with no issues.

My mods were wondering how hard would it be add a posting template at the bottom of the warning page.
This way we could all in one shot:
1. Add warning to system
2. Send PM
3. Post public warning (optional)

Help! I am still trying to install this hack. Can anyone assist me with my issue?

You need to import as a product not a plugin :)

ZT: Is there a way to delete warnings? Sometimes my mods warn users by mistake :(

I second that motion :). I have this installed on my test board. Let me say I am so thriled this was released. This just leasons the complication of having to use user notes or a seperate bad post area. When 3.5 hits gold this is definatly my first thing to install. However yes, there should be an option like "Allow these groups to delete warnings against users". In my opinion that would make this a perfect package :).

Just a heads up though. I found that current members( before warning system installation) have the abiliy to edit their own level. There should be a way to prevent this.;)

Huh? What does that mean?

I already have 3.5 running on my live boards. I think RCs are trustworthy enough. I just need ZT to upgrade this hack so we can delete warnings. I really don't need something as complicated as the AWS. This is simple and good enough to use.

Also, ZT, the template for viewing warning logs are a little off. When a moderator enters a longer log note, it goes too much off to the side. I'll show you a screenshot.

Add warning or remove warning, from where can I control this hack?
No thing shown in the members profile and in my forum cp

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. My fault :D. That's what I get for late night posting.

Now, normal members such as those in the registered usergroup are not permitted to raise or lower their warning points. However, members registered prior to the implementation of this plugin seem to have the ability to find one of their posts or profile and raise and lower their own warning percentage even though they are not in a staff group. Even though it would be very easy to find out (after they get into trouble again ;)) it is still a bit annoying to have his accrue.

Do you see the warning level icon in members profile ?

If you click on the (-) or (+) you will then have the options you are looking for.
If you don't have the warning level icon showing in the member profile you have not done the template edits.

1/
Template: postbit_legacy OR postbit

2/
Template: MEMBERINFO

You make excellent modifications. Thanks.

Roxie 08-13-2005 01:12 AM

I have three usergroups set up as owner, admin and mods. I have them listed in the settings as exempt...but only the owners are not able to be warned. I can still warn admin and mods. Any ideas?

MMiz 08-13-2005 04:30 AM

Great hack, thanks.

But how does one access the Warning Options Panel
(https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...chmentid=32932)

I don't see it in the admincp.

Thanks

vBulletin Options -> Inferno Warning System Options.

Delete warning logs? Seems like a good idea :)

Nice hack, I think I'll use this until the Advanced Warning System gets ported... if it ever does. One question: Would it be possible to show the actual post, instead of a link to "Review the Post" on the Warn User page?

monstergamer 08-13-2005 09:30 PM

thanks for the update :)
works great

Remember, while installing plugins the options are always at bottom of the vBulletin Options list. ;)

Bro_Joey_Gowdy 08-15-2005 04:57 PM

I voted for this to be the HoTM for August, then realized I had already downloaded this but forgot to click install...

*Rowdy clicks install*

The XML file included is a "products" xml ile and not a "plugin" one, please go to the products manage as instructed in the installation instruction and upload the XML through there :)
