thanks for your ideas pimp i will work on the renaming function as well, the gallery script should be easy to get working hopefully will be running soon

Chris_D 07-31-2005 08:38 PM

loneranger - I've installed it on my forums, but for some reason the standard text is white, and not black like most parts of my forum. Any ideas on how to fix it? Cheers.

loneranger 08-01-2005 04:10 PM

will have to look over the templates and check out the class name as this will decide what colour the text are.

I am unable to upload images. Whenever I try to upload an image, it says that the file is too big. However, I have set the size permissions for all the Usergroups. Whenever I am on the upload page, I see Max filesize: 0 KB.

Evercraft 08-01-2005 06:39 PM

pah wrong post O.o

loneranger 08-01-2005 07:11 PM

acid i have it tested and working on 2 forums so far and haven't had this problem with an other member so far so i am intrested, did you get and error message when setting the premissions or when install have you got all files uploaded correctly also could you give me premissions for it too maybe i might be able to see an error some where i have registered for your site as loneranger,

also is there any features ppl would like to see while i'm editing it.

Chris_D 08-01-2005 07:27 PM

I sorted it out. Thanks loneranger.

Where do moderators go to moderate the images?

Did it say something about "getfilesize"?

loneranger 08-01-2005 08:18 PM

haven't got round to sorting out the moderators bit yet won't be long now next release due soon

Chris_D 08-01-2005 09:07 PM

Great work so far.

Well thank you for registering on my board, but that wouldn't do anything. My live board is running 3.0.7. I have installed the Image Hosting hack onto my Test Board, which is running 3.5.0 RC1. As per Jelsoft's requirements regarding Test Boards; they cannot be publicly accessible. I have attached screenshots to explain my situation better. Basically (for those who still have yet to understand) whenever I try to upload an image, I receive an error message stating that the image attempting to be uploaded is too large. Even though I have set the file size in the Usergroup Permissions.

I believe you are setting your size to low. As far as I can tell, it's asking for BYTES, not KB in the admincp. Try increasing the size to something like 5000000 for testing purposes.

Kirk Y 08-02-2005 03:46 PM

My server is down at the moment... I'll test this when it comes back up. But even still, did you see how even though I have entered a value into the Size Limit field in the Usergroup Perms, it still shows the Size Limit to be 0 on the Uploader Form.

loneranger 08-02-2005 05:06 PM

yeah it seems that it isn't adding it to the database, try just going in to phpmyadmi or sothething and find the usergroup table and search for imghost_set and check the values also just edit the vaules for your usergroup see if that works, i can not seem to re-create this error

I think I can see the mistake here... Your dimension limits are set to Width: 768 and Height: 1024. This is normally wrong. In a game, for example, you would be running at Width: 1024 and Height: 768.

Change these two values around and see how it works then. Also try doing it with a smaller picture, for example the "newthread.gif" from your images folder on the forums.

Kirk Y 08-02-2005 08:21 PM

What would it matter if the size values were reversed? It'd just simply change the dimensions of the maximum allowed for an upload. The picture I've been attempting to upload is 300x300 in size. I do not believe the error has to do with height/width variables... the actual file size restrictions are what's causing the problem. As my server is still down... I am unable to test neither loneranger nor your suggestions.

DJ_aroms 08-03-2005 01:04 PM

Worked perfectly for me on test forums, so put it on main forums and works perfect on them too.

Aha, wasn't entirely sure what size it was you were uploading. Thought it might have been a 1024 x 768 picture, in which case with those dimensions it obviously wouldn't work :)

Hope you get it sorted. It's now on my forums at http://www.sinepisodes.net

Chris_D 08-05-2005 12:29 PM

Will this hack work with RC2 yet?

loneranger 08-05-2005 03:47 PM

not sure yet been really busy at work this week will test it once i have finished the mod addon

defi 08-05-2005 04:40 PM

Question - Could a variable be used to display this user's hosted images in their profile page, or some sort of publicly viewed page?

loneranger 08-07-2005 09:26 AM

hi defi i will look into add some info in the user profile next release, anyway beta 4 is out now with new features mods can delete users images and all users can view each others images sorry no update script just have to overwrite old files and follow installtion script again, hope you all enjoy and should be more features soon

Rhoads 08-07-2005 01:58 PM

Hello, first thnx for the hack.

I have a problem, I can't set the permissions, because there no permissions rules in my Usergroup Manager. How can I fix that, I use vB 3.5.0 RC2

loneranger 08-07-2005 04:19 PM

sorry missing a bitfield file in the zip changed the uploaded zip now so it should include it just upload the includes/xml/ folder there should be 1 file in there

Thnx Loneranger, it's working excellent :)

W4L-GFX 08-08-2005 11:59 PM

I get an error when changing permissions

Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /includes/class_core.php on line 628

Any Idea why this is happening?

I get the same thing. :ermm: (except line 115)

loneranger 08-09-2005 03:52 AM

w4l seems like it hasn't reset the bitfields it should have done this on installation have you imported the product in the plugin system? tim make sure you have changed all the settings in admincp and the images folder is chmod 0777

w4l you can always try the file i uploaded to rebuld bitfields

W4L-GFX 08-09-2005 09:00 AM

Thats great - that has sorted out the file permissions but I still have a niggle.

When I select to view img_view_all.php all it shows me is a blank page.

Also when its all been installed there is no indication that it has been. There are no links to the image hosting anywhere

loneranger 08-09-2005 01:54 PM

if you read the installation instructions in the zip file there are some nav bar template edits for it also check to see if there is a template called imghost_users

W4L-GFX 08-09-2005 02:05 PM

The instructions open up a blank page.

W4L-GFX 08-09-2005 02:06 PM

OK - Strike that last post - I just redownloaded it and see it now. Sorry.

I have the navigation working but there is no template for imghost_users

loneranger 08-09-2005 03:06 PM

ok some how missed that template in the install file try using this install file from now on

W4L-GFX 08-09-2005 03:15 PM

Thats great but I would recommend changing test.php to img_view_all.php ;)

Also when looking at all users images. The image doesn`t show up as it points to the root directory - not the folder specified for the images. And the signature code given is simply ]img[filname without full path ]/img[

loneranger 08-09-2005 04:24 PM

thats what i have changed it to in the zip haven't i?, i will work on those update tonight and hopefully will have something ready by tomorrow

W4L-GFX 08-09-2005 05:01 PM

Awesome - Gotta say its agreat mod with loads of potential. I can see a donation coming your way VERY soon LMAO

TCooper 08-09-2005 05:53 PM

I get this when going to image_host.php?do=images it appears to be saying the wrong thing.
It shows:
No Images Are Currently Hosted On 's Server

Shouldn't it display:
No Images Are Currently Hosted On Usernamehere's Server

loneranger 08-09-2005 06:08 PM

yes you are right there seems to be a variable error there will get it sort asap

i have now sorted out all the little bugs and made the release version 1 hopefully with out any more bugs i will be able to release this fully totally bug free

TCooper 08-09-2005 10:49 PM

Isn't in product-imghost.xml a bit messed up or did the directions not say to alter these options...
Code:

        <options>
                <settinggroup name="imagehosting" displayorder="580">
                        <setting varname="imghostdir" displayorder="10">
                                <datatype>free</datatype>
                                <defaultvalue>/home/username/public_html/images</defaultvalue>
                        </setting>
                        <setting varname="imagedir" displayorder="20">
                                <datatype>free</datatype>
                                <defaultvalue>http://www.mypage.co.uk/images/</defaultvalue>
                        </setting>
                </settinggroup>
        </options>

shouldn't /home/username/public_html/images be edited before using the system so it can upload the file? I had to change it in the last release before rc1 but i saw this line wasn't changed in this one as well.

Action-N 08-10-2005 04:03 AM

bug found in "imghost_userbits" template.
Code as found in RC1 download.
Code:

<tr>
<td class="alt1"><a href=test.php?do=imgs&id=$rows[userid]>$username</a></td>
<td class="alt2">$img_count</td>
</tr>

test.php?

loneranger 08-10-2005 04:54 AM

thanks action for that will change when i get back from work, also cooper you don't need to change that file if you goto vbulletin admincp the vbulletin options and at the bottom there are imghosting setting click on that and change them there to the folder where you want your images to be saved. hope this helps you understand more if not reply i will explain more
