Here is a hack that hides whatever is between [hide][/hide] tags until the user replies to the thread. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=90985

I would like to keep track of which users get access to the hidden info, but the hack I linked to above adds lots of useless replies, so I think adding something like that to this hack would be a more elegant solution.

Sorry to tell you that, but this hack doesn't work in 3.5.0 gold .. installation works correctly, but neither the button nor the postbits are shown ...

Version 2.0 GOLD released.

If you are using a 2.0 beta version, just upload the Product XML. You may want to re-do the template edits since they were changed a little.

If you are using 1.10 now, just upgrade your forum normally, and install this hack like it's a FRESH installation. You wont over write all the thanks that are there already.

There were no new features added to this version.

When I try to upload the product xml I get this error. I have it set to yes to overwrite.

Hmmm.... This seems like a vB error. It should check to see if settings are in already. The settings are being added using the xml style. Try to remove the settings from the xml and re-upload.

Well almost working. It shows the Thank you button and when I click on it, it adds a thanked to the user I thank but it doesn't have the message under their post that says they were thanked by me.

I'm sorry I said that wrong. It does have the phrase. I just don't see in the instructions where that is applied in the postbit.

the 2 errors are from having it installed on 3.0X then upgrading to 3.5 if you had this installed on previous board and did upgrade run the queries in abes last post and you will have no problem works great!!

Yes. You will have no errors installing it. The errors you see are from upgrading from vb3.0 to vb3.5 and they were resolved even.
