What is the server load on something like this? Just curious. ;)Would this be the same as making a delete forum and moving the threads there manually?

In this version, are more bins possible?

Satan

well, all you have to do is ADD A FORUM, call it recycle bin (or archives, on my forum). in vb3.5 the mod tools are easier for moving one or several threads at the same time to the ARCHIVES. so, with vb3.5 this hack isn't even needed.

correct me if im wrong.

I'm having a problem here. While I was running the installer script and clicked on the "Create Table" button, I ended up with the following error.

Quote:

Database error in vBulletin 3.5.0 Release Candidate 1:

Invalid SQL:

I have no idea where's the problem.

I think you must do the Queries separated ...

Also, Plugins *vBRecycle v3.0.0* - Inline Moderation - Fix Invalid Action and *vBRecycle v3.0.0* - Show Thread - Fix Invalid Action don't seem to be correct.

Nice Hack btw :)
Will use some parts of it eventually.

LNTT 09-14-2005 12:55 PM

uhm, i will fix now...

LNTT 09-14-2005 01:00 PM

if get error, please remove ";" => fixed. (I will update vBR Zip soon)

HabbosUs 09-16-2005 05:20 PM

Hello,

I have followed all of the installation instructions however i am encountering the following error.

Quote:

Fatal error: Field recycle is not defined in $validfields in class vb_datamanager_forum in /includes/class_dm.php on line 485
Do you know what is causing this?

Thanks in advance,

eNforce 09-16-2005 06:12 PM

Not showing in Admin CP for me Version : 3.0.0

Andreas 09-16-2005 06:16 PM

The CPNav won't show up as the ProductID is _vbrecycle and in the cpnav XML it is vBRecycle.
Both must be the same - and prefix vB is reserved for Jelsoft :)

KirbyDE,

Do you have any suggestions as to how i can fix the problem i'm having?

Thanks,

Snake 09-16-2005 06:39 PM

lol Here's the fix...

Open bitfield_vbrecycle.xml

Find:

Quote:

<bitfields product="vBRecycle">
Replace with:

Quote:

<bitfields product="_vbrecycle">
Do the same thing for cpnav_vbrecycle.xml. Now it should fix the issue. ;)

Just a lil mistake you made here, LNTT.

Snake,

I don't suppose you have a solution to my problem?

Thanks in advance,

eNforce 09-16-2005 06:48 PM

I'm now having the same problem as HabbosUs

Quote:

Fatal error: Field recycle is not defined in $validfields in class vb_datamanager_forum in /includes/class_dm.php on line 485

Snake 09-16-2005 06:49 PM

HabbosUs, I have also encountered that same error as well when I first installed the mod but I would like to know what you were trying to do exactly.

The same thing goes to you too, enForce.

eNforce 09-16-2005 06:51 PM

Snake, it happens to me when I try to change the name of the forum I have selected as to be the recyle bin.

As a work around you can disable the plugin, change the name of the forum. Then enable it again.
