However I don't know what they have already requested. Maybe if we list them in this forum others can see and work off of that? Is that ok or do you still want us to pm you?

Thanks

akanevsky 07-07-2006 11:19 AM

Pretty much, noone is saying anything new, so I have everything outlined. If anyone can contribute anything that WASN"T ALREADY SAID, please pm. Thanks.

Tyegurl 07-10-2006 04:17 AM

how about individual players....like i have a site where we aren't a clan but we would like to do something like a clan thing.....we don't war and it's usually coop unless it's ATG and sides are never set in stone....

would that be possible?

akanevsky 07-10-2006 10:52 AM

Yes, that's going to be one of the feat.

Any status on this? Sounds like a great idea but I won't believe it until I see it :) Support for a hack like this is hard to find

In addition to the clan management system, it would be nice if there could be a tournament system. Something with a scoring system that can calculate an individual player's cummulative score total, with a history list of tournaments they have attended, rank in those tournaments and points earned from those tournaments. Sort of like a tournament league system...

In addition, it should be able to do brackets with, character usage, first round challenge system, scoring system, "bye" system and "float" system. And display the brackets such as:
http://www.crookedjester.com/index.p...0715&styleid=1
http://www.crookedjester.com/index.p...701&styleid=14

I do these brackets manualy since there is no tournament system for VB... but it doesnt do a ranking or points scoring system, nor a tournament history or character usage system. Red = bye, blue = float. Even though the brackets themselves are in straight HTML, the HUB is in PHP... http://www.crookedjester.com/index.p...sNH&styleid=14

The cms is in process, when and if it is done, I'm going to announce that.

What I am looking for would be a system that supports especially MMO(RP)G guilds/clans. I think there is a market for it, since world of warcraft made that type of games popular. It should have multi-game support.

What that script should do (I):

The common problem with members and roster in such games is, that each member may play a number of different characters (avatars) maybe in different games and for each game with different profile fields. Because in World Of Warcraft you need Character Name, Class and Level and maybe some more data and in EverQuest you need something else and in a third game another set of profile fields are needed.

So Joe Ordinary may have two avatars in World Of Warcraft and also has one avatar in Everquest2.

What the script should do (II):

Each member should be able to create a number (set by the admin) of avatars. The member would visit an area in the forums to create a new avatar. A template with custom fields would show up (pre-made by the admin), member fills the form, submits and the new avatars name would show up in the players profile in the list of current avatars. Others may now click on the avatars name and the details show up, or appear at mouse over in a slim box (something like that).

So Joe just hit the link: create World Of Warcraft Avatar (name of the template, made by the admin) and so on, next time he would choose "create EverQuest2" avatar.

What the script should do (III):

Since the avatars are now created, joe wants so see the non-public forums of that game, so he requests that the avatars are "confirmed" by someone in charge in that game. Thats the same as joining user groups technically. Once the avatars are confirmed, Joe get access of the corresponding forums (and will be kicked out, once all of his avatars of that game are set to "unconfirmed").

Ok. Now the admin side.

What the script should do (IV):

On the admin side, everything from "which game" and "which avatar profile fields" up to the number of allowed avatars per user (or per game "per template") should be optional. The admin would first create a number of avatar templates that also indicate the games:

Create a template >
Template name: "EverQuest Avatar"
Custom AvatarField1: character name [text]
Curstom AvatarField2: Level [number]
Custom AvatarField3: Class [pull-down]
etc.

Template is active: YES / NO
Now, the user may create avatars for EverQuest using that template and so forth, maybe set one of his Avatars as current "main Avatar" which makes avatar name and profile visible in the postbit and so on.

ArchEnemy - THATS a script i would pay for

just want to konw if you are still working on this. I can wait ... not trying to nag or ask "when" or "what's the progress" or whatever (ie nagging questions)..but sometimes authors drop projects without telling people. so it'd be nice to confirm whether its still in yoru plans.

I was looking at other alternatives too, but decided to wait as this sounded the best and your codes are good. if its not happening pleease let us know.

respectifully,

clan managment system future customer

Yes, I am working on it, it's about 25% done. As you may understand, there is a long way to go still.

murdo 09-18-2006 08:42 PM

I too would DEFINATELY pay for this! :)

aceofspades 10-08-2006 07:39 AM

I would be very interested in this and i know several people who would be too.

Elleffgee 10-08-2006 08:01 AM

Hi, I have an Everquest 2 board - we call them guilds instead of clans, but I guess it's the same concept. Would be very interested in a guild system for vBulletin.

Thanks :)

akanevsky 10-09-2006 09:38 PM

If there is anyone who is interested in joining the development, please pm me, but only if you feel you have a solid experience in php, mysql and javascript. Thanks!

What is double elimination?

abull 10-29-2006 02:01 PM

Thought I'd share some of what we're doing on this front. We currently have several developers working full-time on a guild/clan management framework that is part of a larger effort to create a social network for online gamers.

Some of the features we've already completed include:

- Player profile/game histories
- Real-time Integration with game products
- Guild/clan messaging/news/etc.
- Scheduling/logistics
- Other stuff too cool to be posted about publicly at this time.

Although the initial design is based on users organizing through our site, we're now working on ways to "push" our content and applications outward--i.e., people with existing vBulletin sites able to use things like DKP management, tournament management, schedulers, and widget-based interfaces to player profiles and such.

We'd like to hear from people that run a guild or clan on vBulletin so that we can nail down EXACTLY what you want from us. If you are interested in acting as a tester, or merely interested in providing guidance on product direction--please contact me through a PM. (Sorry, no publicly available URLs at this time, but I'd be happy to invite people into the beta site once we've heard from you).

sounds promising

drdeathuk69 10-31-2006 10:10 PM

Any update on this as my clan would be very interested in this

tekram 12-09-2006 04:13 AM

Yes my Clan will need this script too. Is there a chance to need a update?

KHALIK 12-14-2006 01:45 AM

Is this available ?

akanevsky 12-14-2006 05:55 PM

Not yet... When it will be, I'll post in the thread.

Shana 12-17-2006 12:56 AM

Awesome, progress?

Apophis 01-17-2007 05:21 PM

I'm definitely interested in this. I would also be willing to provide an extensively used system for beta testing as well as future iteration development.

I run a rather active gaming community (http://www.tacticalgamer.com) that has been looking for something like this for a long time. We've tried vBWar, but that never worked right and seems to be a defunct project. We've also tried MyGamingLadder but that also has a plethora of issues.

Is there a development site/usergroup/whatever currently in use for the team that is working on this?

Regards,

Hi,

There isn't a development site because the system is still in the early stage of development (there's been a break in progress for personal reasons), but I could create an area if you think it's going to be of help. :)

manofphat 02-21-2007 04:25 AM

interested and willing to pay for

dmorales 02-23-2007 09:41 AM

I'm interested as well.

dooch 02-24-2007 04:13 PM

Willing to pay for this if its as good as I hope it is.

pbmansion 02-24-2007 10:04 PM

Willing to use!!! I would like it just for a subforum of my site though... I WOULD USE THIS!

tekram 03-14-2007 10:08 PM

Yes i´m too think you must make it looks like: vwar

dooch 03-15-2007 09:49 AM

I'm very keen to see this mod.

I run a BF2 clan and use vbull. I'd love to see some sort of vwar integration. If I can assist in any way from a design / clan side of things I'm happy to do so. Unfortunately my coding is like my cooking, pot-noodles all the way.

Dooch

GrendelKhan{TSU 03-16-2007 10:01 AM

any progress on this?

Chief Corn 04-06-2007 06:52 PM

a vbwar importer would be nice for us refugees. i'd love to see our war record again...

odie3 04-12-2007 02:43 PM

Yes, would like a Vwar type of system for VB - I would GLADLY pay for it!
