I upgraded yesterday to vB 3.5 Final and there is no "Soft Deleted Archive" in AdminCP anymore. Reinstalled hack but nothing's changed. I'll try again later.

but, you should use Oblivion Knight cpnav_softdel.xml file there. revan, why dont you take some time update the hack? |
Yeah, ok, Im gonna do that now.
Edit: There, ya happy now!? :p |

:ninja: no, NOT YET :nervous:  hehe I added a few filter to your hack, so it can display only post or thread, or both. if you want, I can send you the file that I edit :) |
Sure, thanks :)
|
Now it works perfect. Thanks for update ;)
|
Hey Revan, seems the performance tweaking made a difference. The latest version no longer times out for me... It still takes a while to load but hell I aint complaining... It works! Thanks a lot. :)
|
Thats great, nice to see it works better :D
How many elements (ie threads/posts) are you managing at a time? |

try this one :) |
This is helpful to keep track of all the soft deleted threads and posts. I also uploaded the file softdeladmin.php into the modcp, in addition to the admincp, so that the moderators would be able to view all soft deleted threads and posts on the forum as well.
The "flag" button seems to have the same function as "undelete" so I'm not sure what its purpose is. I think the text Here, you can view an index of all the posts/threads that you or your moderators have "Soft Deleted". should be changed to Here, you can view an index of all the posts/threads that have been "Soft Deleted". because it also includes soft deleted posts by regular members. |

I am unable to test this new archive due to a SQL error in vBulletin 3.5.0 which is preventing me from deleting posts. I will check it out when I am provided with a fix. Quote:

I see now that the flag button is used in conjunction with the other buttons, to either hard delete or to undelete. I was confused by the terminology when I first saw it. I also noticed that if the flag button is checked by itself with neither hard delete or undelete selected, it choses undelete by default so that when submitted, the flagged post is undeleted.

I just discovered that uploading the file softdeladmin.php into the modcp does not make the file work for moderators due to lack of admin permissions, though it still works for administrators in that folder.
|
Can I have more screenshots please?

Im gonna look over that new file and update this asap, just need to finish a paid job first. |
When trying to import the cpnav_softdel.xml file I get a "Invalid File Specified" Error.
Any ideas? Thanks, Parker |
You aren't supposed to import that.
Just upload it like the folder structure suggests. |
/me installs on 3.5 gold
so much easier for mods to softdelete instead of moving threads to a trash forum |
awesome one
|
Will this retain users posts counts the same way if you mass prune threads, in the admincp it retains users posts counts?
|
You can get this to work for your super moderators as well. Here is how you do it. After installing it on the board, you edit the file softdeladmin.php. Find the following and delete it:

Good question! Can anyone answer this? |
After installing was amazed to see how many soft-deleted threads and posts we had....
Thanks for the product! |
Excellent. Loved it in 3.0, and now I have it in 3.5.

I was just looking at some deleted posts that really should have just been moved to appropriate forums, which led me to wonder how often this happens.
*installs* |
Is anyone having a problem with this interfereing with images displaying? I think its conflicting with something I installed cause as soon as I disabled it all works fine again?
|
Works great, thanks :)
Maybe a new feature.....ability to search by post content, thread name, soft deleter (mod/super/admin) or the creater perhaps? |

Moved host and this is finally working like a dream for me on 3.5.4. Must have been the old hardware at fault. Thanks for a very useful hack Revan! :)
|
This is a really useful hack! Works great on 3.5.4. Thanks!
|
This doesn't work for version 3.6 beta 2, so I'm uninstalling it.

Finally, i've found a way by myself...
How to mass select all of the soft deleted posts listed under User CP? Open your Admin CP > Styles & Templates > Moderation Templates > moderation_posts template: Find: $totalposts (the first one) Add right after $totalposts: Quote:
How do list X soft deleted posts under User CP moderation menu? Open your /forum/moderation.php file with your text editor. Find: Quote:
Save and upload the edited moderation.php file. (You may want to revert 100 to 4 after you remove all soft deleted posts) |
I suppose this will make it way easier to finally manage the soft deleted posts and now hard delete them if they are useless etc.
Any word when this will be compaitible with 3.6? |
This should be a standard feature in the VB prune.
