by no choice of my own, my board is hosted at globat. i do NOT recommend them by any means.

use dreamhost for 3 sites of mine, its cpanel is sucks but everything else is just great. they also offer SSH by default.

I use anyone except for godaddy, ev1 or any of those big guys... They suck.

Thanks - They do and I just purchased an account. So far they seem really good - Have responded to 2 support emails in the last hour (Databases from my other sites were too big to upload myself and I have no clue how to do it via the shell.)

One that I have been very pleased with is startlogic. Very nice cpanel, shell access, ftp, many addons, 24/7 800 support and 5Gb space and 100Gb bandwidth for $7.95 a month.

One server with http://www.ev1servers.net and I could not be happier with them. Excellent customer service and excellent servers.

I filed a claim through Paypal and the +++++++s revoked my cPanel/FTP access and deleted all of my vB files - I just ++++ing lost the databases for ALL of my websites :mad:

lol one of my friends used globat, he complained alot. I use surfspeedy, we had alot of problems with them, but its okay now.

Other than that, just a crappy local server for a personal site.

I agree with Bubble, I use site5.com as well and have never had a problem, support is fantastic, speed is good, and the prices are quite good for the service. Netadmin owns!
