Beermonster: for the whois thing, can you have it set the src of the value you set in control panel?

Also, how do you apply this to a user's profile?

I'm not sure what you mean, what whois? what src?

as for the profile there are 4 boxes already there in your userCP

OCH-Stan 11-18-2004 06:33 PM

Who is online.... and the src of the host you set in the admin control panel...

Ah!! yes like I said a couple of threads back I may do this at a later date, but not at the moment I just don't have enough hours in the day at present.

HaloImpulse 11-26-2004 07:51 PM

Visions 11-29-2004 05:38 AM

I think I've found your problem, no one has there profiles filled in, you need to go to your UserCP and fill in the appropriate boxes in

Delphiprogrammi 12-18-2004 10:57 AM

hi,

yeah what a stupid mistake from me :devious: now it shows i'm offline while i'm online but you already explained how to solve that

thanks dude working like a champ :D

Delphiprogrammi 12-18-2004 11:25 AM

verry odd on some servers it show online on others unknown and again on others it shows offline my "all other users" in msn messenger is in the allowed list

edit

seems my firewall whas blocking it somehow now it shows "online" people on windows xp with windows firewall enabled => this won't work add an exception rule to allow msn messenger

The images are on the server you don't need to have them, if you want to change them just choose a different server

Gnappy 12-22-2004 06:11 PM

[high]* Gnappy installed
[/high]
but i have more than one problem...
1st - http://www.onlinestatus.org/ forum is offline, so i cant get urls of servers
2nd - in AdminCP/vbulletin options/Display Thread Options (showthread) i have any of ur hack...

im sure i made all correct, coz i made it twice...i ran the query, made the phrases, edited the 2 postsbit... but

Beermonster can u help me too, pls?

thx a lot =)

Delphiprogrammi 12-22-2004 08:18 PM

hi,

you can get a server here http://blueforce.co.uk:8080 i use this one to supports icq msn etc etc

in your vbulletin profil fill in the adress of your messenger service if you want a status indicator for msn messenger you fill in the "msn id" profile field

you must edit the postbit and the postbit_legacy template

that did it for me

dlouly47 12-22-2004 09:36 PM

How do I reverse this sql query?

PHP Code:

##########################################

Execute this query:

INSERT INTO setting VALUES ('onlinestatusim''showthread''http://www.foxinus.cz:8085''http://www.foxinus.cz:8085'''31001);

2 I will have to honest I have no idea why it's not showing in your display thread options, I installed it on my forum with no problems but when I tried to install it on a mate's forum I ran in to the same problem there was no box to put the url, his was running 3.0.0 and mine 3.0.3 maybe that had something to do with it, what version are you running?

boo.3 01-13-2005 06:56 PM

I Installed it !

Based on what mcyates done, i also add that on the MEMBERINFO templates, but with some modification

Here my code :

Between
Code:

<if condition="$show['hasimicons']">
                        <fieldset class="fieldset">
                                <legend>$vbphrase[instant_messaging]</legend>

and
Code:

</fieldset>
                        </if>

I completely removed what was there to page that :
Code:

<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="$stylevar[formspacer]" border="0">
                                <tr>
                <td>
                <if condition="$userinfo['showicq']">
                                <a href="#" onclick="return imwindow('icq', '$userinfo[userid]', 500, 450)"><img border=0 src="$vboptions[onlinestatusim]/icq/$post[icq]" alt="<phrase 1="$userinfo[username]">$vbphrase[send_message_via_icq_to_x]</phrase>" border="0" /></a>
                                </if>
                                <if condition="$userinfo['showaim']">
                            <a href="#" onclick="return imwindow('aim', '$userinfo[userid]', 400, 200)"><img border=0 src="$vboptions[onlinestatusim]/aim/$post[aim]" alt="<phrase 1="$userinfo[username]">$vbphrase[send_message_via_aim_to_x]</phrase>" border="0" /></a>
                                </if>
                                <if condition="$userinfo['showmsn']">
                                <a href="#" onclick="return imwindow('msn', '$userinfo[userid]', 400, 200)" border="0"><img border=0 src="$vboptions[onlinestatusim]/msn/$post[msn]" alt="<phrase 1="$userinfo[username]">$vbphrase[send_message_via_msn_to_x]</phrase>" border="0" /></a>
                                </if>
                                <if condition="$userinfo['showyahoo']">
                                <a href="#" onclick="return imwindow('yahoo', '$userinfo[userid]', 400, 200)"><img border=0 src="$vboptions[onlinestatusim]/yahoo/$post[yahoo]" alt="<phrase 1="$userinfo[username]">$vbphrase[send_message_via_yahoo_to_x]</phrase>" border="0" /></a>
                                </if></td>
                                </tr>
                                </table>

By the way, i'm using this online server : http://mightymichelob.tcworks.net:8080

Follow the install instructions in reverse ;)

Lottis 04-03-2005 05:35 PM

*installed* Nice one. :)

Lottis 04-03-2005 05:56 PM

Ugh, the msn icon shows no picture. I suppose that could bee fixed by changing the
http://www.foxinus.cz:8085 to one of the others online servers?
But if i had to change this, is there more than one place this should be changed?

Never mind, i figured out. ;)

Justinlp 04-04-2005 09:07 PM

How do you Execute this query....

Code:

INSERT INTO setting VALUES ('onlinestatusim', 'showthread', 'http://www.foxinus.cz:8085', 'http://www.foxinus.cz:8085', '', 310, 0, 1);

open phpMyAdmin select your database and hit the SQL tab copy and paste SQL code and hit the run button (your host usually provides some kind of database manupulation system the most used is phpMyAdmin)

then there must be wrong code in the postbit template for instance did you edited the correct template if you use the vertical template style like here on vbulletin.org you must edit "postbit_legacy" and not "postbit" also when you sign up for an osi(online status indicator) for msn messenger make sure the id you use is your msn login ...

I have been searching for a website that is actually using this mod that I can look at to see how it looks and works, but I cannot find one. Does anyone who installed this mod still run it? I've checked four different forums from people who posted here that they installed it, and none of them are running it (including the mod author).
