Is anyone working on this? I'd be intrerested in working on it, but don't want to start on somethign that has been started on.

The last discussions I recall ethics was to base it on a commercial script and then things kind of fell apart from there. As far as I'm aware of no one is doing a custom hack on this right now despite many being interested.

Im looking to do live news from my site. And also have a section where members can put their web cams up on......If this is made possible, let me know. It needs to be done, the need is there.

here is the basic script.

it uses html and it's a separate script. I will see about maybe integrating it with vBulletin, But I will need to look at what files will need to be included. I'm hoping i can keep this a separate script.

I run a city community website and would love to add something like this to show the city council meetings online (once a week)

I don't know anything about media and streaming but thought maybe I could put my webcam pointing at the tv when the meeting is on and then have show on my site.

I've long since given up on this one but found userplane.com offers both a free and upgraded (aka paid) video chat solution that can be plugged into vB. I haven't tried it yet myself so I can't speak from experience but will be going with the paid service in a month or two however, if you search "userplane" on these forums I believe there's an integration hack for the free service. FWIW

Doesn't look like it I'm afraid. I checked out userplane and the 24 thing... Both aren't what was requested by sabe.
