You have to download it again from vb.com and then upload that file... i dont know what that's the case but it worked after replacing the functions.php file originally from VB

all fine apart from....

1. whenever anyone who is logged in, tries to play a game they get "you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:" message,

even myself as admin cant play.

Also the settings wont save for each person, just comes back saying change settings.

Please help...

on the postbit the url when a game icon is clicked is

website.com/forums/arcade.php?do=play&gameid=

so there is no gamer id :s

Congratulations on the hack. Im still drewling just from looking at the screenshots. The concept of beeing able to challenge other people is what takes this all the way ;) I'll install soon thank you.

I installed this thing without a problem...

People, keep in mind that this only works on RC2 - don't try to install this on earlier versions as that may well cause problems.

Having said that, I gotta say that I love the design of this arcade. It fits very nicely with the rest of vB3.

And YAAAY Mozilla compatibility, finally! :D

I presume you're all using the Dreamweaver text editor?

The solution is, don't! ;)

Dreamweaver appears to automatically edit (and screw up) this line in functions.php (1755):

Have you set your usergroup permissions for the arcade in the Admin CP?

If you want to install it on a different style, just change your current selected style and run the first part of the installation script again.

All groups can view and play the arcade as set in the usergroup permissions.

still get permission denied when clicking games and setting still wont save :(

i dont know who is the author of the great flash game "Curveball". It would be great if someone gets a .fla file of this game. Ive see it on a vbulletin with a hack thats called "vbulletin pro arcade" or something like that. It was a vb2.x.

Could we contact that author and ask him for some fla files?

I used Dreamweaver's text editor a lot of the time, it didn't take me long to discover that it kills functions.php when you edit it. ;)

Still, it works fine for all other files. Just use Wordpad/Notepad for those changes, and you shouldn't have any problems.

can we have challenges set to on as default per user? because i cant challenge the people i want to challenge PLUS is it possible to make it clearer on HOW to challenge a member (i know the link is in their arcade stats page) but its only on some pages and itsnt clear for users as i have already had many pms about how to challenge

To turn on challenges by default for all new users, run this query:

However, this won't turn on challenges for existing users. To have challenges enabled and email notification turned on for every user, run this query:

john can I ask ya to take a look at my post on permissions...

I still cant access the games, all usergroups have rights as set in the usergroups in admincp, I saw in the install that usergroup ids are set, are the relative to the board ids?

Just seems weird...
