If you don’t like what he has to offer, STFU and don’t bother posting.

Boofo 07-31-2002 04:16 AM

Sounds to me like you should take your own advice after posting something like that.

Apparently you haven't read the whole thread (or for some reason can't seem to understand what has been going on here).
The issue never has been the buttons themselves. They are very good and he has done a good job. It has only ever been the way they were presented, which if you will bother reading and understanding, was taken care of a few posts back.

As far as who is the n00b here, it looks as though you hold that title better than I. So befire you start blowing hot air in the future, learn to read and understand and then maybe you won't come off sounding so foolish. 'Nuff said.

1. I like what he has to offer. I believe his intentions were good and he meant no harm. If I had a problem with his thread, I would take it up with him in private, or report the post to a moderator.

2. Unlike kaost451, you are not the author of this thread. If you make a stupid comment, prepare to be called on it. Likewise, if you make a stupid thread, I have no business tainting it with worthless replies.

3. My suggestion for you n00b, is to spend your spare time on something other than ball busting. Otherwise, you can tango with me and learn the hard way.

Hrm…. Since when did March 2002 come before October 2001? Ah well, minuscule point.

What you don’t understand is the fact your complaint has little substance even if it was because he used the word “holiday” instead of “anniversary” or whatever the hell your beef is.

So as for my understanding this thread, I think I’m right on target. You ramble about respecting thousands of people who died on 911, but you fail to extend basic respect to someone who made a relatively small error. Instead you garble his thread with ridiculous comments, instead of commending his contribution.

virex 07-31-2002 04:51 AM

ya all stop crying like little +++++es, this guy just made a mistake with words. so why all you have to go and talk about this for so long ? :(

:p

Boofo 07-31-2002 04:53 AM

Dates have nothing to do with it. Active participation does. :)

Well, it seems that alot of others feel the way I do about it so there must be some substance there somewhere.

Yes, a mistake was made, and yes, it has since been corrected. And the author has been recognized for his contribution (if you would bother reading the comments he has recieved on his buttons). If you don't like what the thread is garbled with, then there are plenty of other threads for you to blow off in. Maybe someone there will care what you have to say.

Post whoring does not equal active participation. You are worthless, and so are your posts. 8.94 posts per day = you have no life. You are correct; he was commended for his buttons, but not before first being slammed with an outpour of stupidity. Do you also correct others for using improper sentence structure and punctuation?

Boofo 07-31-2002 05:09 AM

You win. I'm tired of bantering back and forth with someone of your stature. I think I'll go find some adults to talk to now. :)

No. I think that it shows that media affects us alot, if there was the same amount of coverage on the african crises, i think there would be alot more mouths fed.
I second that, sure 9/11 folks aint deserve this at all yet media made it so big than any events that go on everyday such as Africia, Ireland, Israel, and many more that always including war or death everyday. It is kind of sad to have that kind crap from media but nevertheless 9/11 is most impact experience for America and world. I am patriotic so Boofo, I m in your corncer too but I ll download it to show how much I think of them that they will never forget and will always in my heart.

kaost451

Sure it is just a "button" but it does mean more to some people than you think. :) Good job though

Boofo 07-31-2002 05:12 AM

They're nice, though I don't know if they should be used, cause sept 11th shouldn't even be brought up anymore....

SaintDog 07-31-2002 11:54 AM

Let us all stop bickering back and forth, everyone has had a chance to say what they need to say, so let's get back on the original topic before this thread is closed.

@Kaost: Would you rather me change the subject so this does not attact the wrong crowd?

Don't worry, Tim, America eventually does that to everybody. :)

We got over that problem long time ago, now shut up!

dotagious 08-01-2002 09:18 PM

Uhm.. the discussion continued regarding the same issue until the 30th of July. I replied one day after that point, which was the 31st. So unless “long time ago” means one day.....

DrkFusion 08-02-2002 01:26 AM

Just bequit -_-

Boofo 08-02-2002 01:31 AM

That's "be quiet" and that is not the message I just saw. ;)

Hey, Drk, where were you when I was being attacked in here? Were you cowering under the couch again? :)

You know i posted something that was trying to cool this post down, and some mod delted it, An explaination as to why would be nice

JJR512 08-08-2002 11:51 PM

I don't think the guy should be attacked as he has been for making a set of buttons to commemorate Sept. 11. I also don't think the people/companies who sold flags should be "strung up and shot". Flags have always been sold; if more people choose to buy them, that's hardly the fault of the retailer.

In any event, what is it you're getting so upset about? You act like this is anti-American. But isn't it very American indeed to have freedom of expression? Isn't capitalism also very American? Don't knock someone for doing something that's very much in the spirit of what it is you're getting so upset about in the first place.

Boofo 08-09-2002 12:38 AM

I agree with you that Flags are sold all the time but to take advantage of a situation like alot of businesses and freelancers did after Sept. 11th was appalling and sick to say the least. Alot of people used the "American Unity" and "American Spirit" to make a quick buck. How much of all of that was really donated to any of the families that were affected by the attack? Most of it didn't get any further than their bank accounts.

The problem in this thread was solved a long time ago. It was more of a misunderstanding than anything else. Those of us that were personally affected by Sept. 11th were maybe a little quick to jump, but you have to admit, there is good reason there. What we lost we can never get back and there is still alot of hatred and anger there, whether anyone agrees with that or not.

I would personally like to see this thread closed and left alone. Rehashing everything will only bring that many more problems to what was already taken care of a while back. How about it Chen, can we close this now and be done with it? Please?

musicfreak12399 08-10-2002 03:13 PM

I am a Firefighter / EMT . September 11th, 2001 is not something to celebrate, there for you cannot use the word Holiday, and i cannot see how you can release something with the SEPT 11th date on it and what.. it is only an americian flag.. no respect, no go

DrkFusion 08-11-2002 04:06 AM

Hey boofo, I don't have a couch to cowar under :( Unlike others I do not have the advantage of a home, money, computer, highspeed internet or food :'(

uhh...Im with you boof0 hehe

kaost451 08-11-2002 05:57 AM

DrkFusion 08-13-2002 09:43 PM

Sorry Koast, forr making it hard for you, I am sure many appreciate your hard work, they are really great buttons.

-Drk

Boofo 08-13-2002 11:19 PM

kaost451, everything was already settled and taken care way back in the beginning of the thread as far as I was concerned. Sorry it got so messed up for you.

kaost451 08-13-2002 11:25 PM

it's okay, I just feel like Hitler now. Political differences and business don't belong together.

Note: If you like to have these anyway, Just download! But please close this thread Corey, thanks.

Neo 08-13-2002 11:31 PM

Nice job :)

hypedave 08-14-2002 03:48 AM

this is nice, I was about to make some, thanks man, and keep up the good job

SaintDog 08-15-2002 06:47 AM

To keep from having further bickering in this thread by those that do not actually come in and read over things, I am closing this thread, I think it has gone far enough.
