Question about this hack.

Is there a way to make this work so moderators and admins can have CUSTOM pips rather than post count?

I want regular members to change based on post count, but moderators and admins have special pips (that I made).

I can make the images and stuff.

My question is probably variable based.

If you're a mod, then you get this special pip.

If you're an admin, then you get this special pip.

Regular users will get the pips based on post count. Can someone please give me some code assistance? Thanks.

Does anyone know how to customize this so admins and moderators can have their own pips/stars without it being based on post count? They just automatically receive the moderator one.

yes its possible, me and my friend were tinkering with this code some months back. we managed to play a nice joke on a particular spammer on the boards. instead of it giving him stars, it would say "SPAMMER!" under his name. im sure it can be modified for mods/admins

If there is any way you or anyone else can assist me in the right direction, i'd be thankful.

Would it be possible to change the directory of the stars to point to another site ?

ive had this hack on my board since it come out for 2.20

firstly, i have to agree that after your initial poor description of pips and stars, your attitude towards your fellow members for asking a question was discraceful

this board is great because everyone helps each other out and there really is no need for the abuse you dished out

secondly, i recently upgraded from 2.2.0 to 2.26, i had the original pips and stars hack on my board

i always take the time to save the hacks i apply to my board so that upgrading is made easier - on upgrading to 2.26 i applied the same changes i did to my board as i did with 2.20 and as you can see from the attachment, it works fine

i have not takent the time to look at the so called upgraded zip file but my question is this

If the original hack works on 2.2.6, why release it again and if there are changes what are they and were they needed :nervous:

I'd set the install instructions for this hack aside some time ago while deciding what kind of graphics I wanted to use. Set it up last night with different levels and it works great.

I have tried the <*nobr*> stuff....maybe I am putting it in the wrong place. Any help??

works with v2.2.8 as well, just RTFM
