ManagerJosh 08-27-2002 08:44 AM

Probably the new vb CMS will be able to do what you ask, but not sure.

I think the biggest issue people have with vBPortal is the cost...

ManagerJosh 09-17-2002 05:08 AM

PHP-Nuke 6.0 came out and Your_Account/index.php has been changed a lot this time.

I'll see if I can redo the hack for that page, but not sure :(.

Bloodfist 09-28-2002 01:32 AM

I installed it on 6.0, and right after running the queries, am beginning to get these errors;

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/worldof/public_html/v2/includes/sql_layer.php on line 301

Bloodfist 09-28-2002 02:01 AM

Never mind, I got the last problem fixed. But, I need the usercp for nuke thing fixed.

If anyone has any ideas, please post em.

ManagerJosh 09-28-2002 05:51 AM

I rewrote the Your_Account Module to meet the specifications of the original author while retaining all of the 6.0 features.

I'll be testing it in a few days so not sure how it will turn out..

Wish me luck :)

Bloodfist 09-28-2002 11:32 AM

Good luck man :)

mewgood 09-29-2002 09:59 PM

so does it work with php-nuke 6.0?

ManagerJosh 09-30-2002 12:14 AM

No. Your account/index.php was changed in PHP-Nuke 6.0 and will require some rewriting.

mewgood 09-30-2002 06:34 AM

can anyone rewrite it?
Please?

ManagerJosh 09-30-2002 06:39 AM

I'm working on one however I'm running into huge problems (considering I use two different databases for vB and PHP-Nuke)

Bloodfist 09-30-2002 06:56 PM

Just transfer it. TAkes like 2 minutes ..

mewgood 09-30-2002 11:40 PM

great
hope you can finish it asap

ManagerJosh 10-01-2002 05:52 AM

Keeping two databases helps especially when it comes to backing up. Keeps things organized.

Also if I get w4u's permission, I'll publish the updated version here

mewgood 10-01-2002 06:59 AM

cool
hope you will psot it asap

mewgood 10-04-2002 04:00 AM

anyone have it work on php-nuke 6?

Asso 10-06-2002 06:47 AM

no, i'm waiting for a relase that works under nuke 6.0 and vB 2.2.7

mewgood 10-06-2002 08:19 AM

ya
me too!!!!

Asso 10-07-2002 10:34 AM

the script rulez a lot!! :)

i'm really happy for this great integration ;)

mewgood 10-07-2002 09:23 PM

I need it with phpnuke 6.0

Bloodfist 10-14-2002 12:03 PM

.....

raybyrd 11-01-2002 10:05 AM

hows the re-write of the your account going any progress or is it not worth it?

Bloodfist 11-01-2002 11:00 AM

Also, do you think you'll easily be able to do this for vBulletin 3?

SilverBoy 12-09-2002 09:39 PM

I wanna ask ..
I integrated y vb and phpnuke databases, but there is some thing missed, how I can give my users the ability to login and logout in the same time in vb and phpnuke .
I mean if a user make login in vb the script must logged him automatically in phpnuke and same when he loggedin in phpnuke he must loggedin in vb in the same time ..

I wish I explained my idea in right way .. sorry for my bad english ..
and thx for advance ..

ciao ..

Mythril 12-20-2002 10:11 PM

we need one with PHP-NUKE 6 and VB 2.2.9, IF anyone can make it, it would help us a lot. :)

note: this hack is running in my site, without any problem :)

btw, i included small install script, which transfers vbulletin users to php-nuke users table

more info in file.........

Questions? Suggestions?

tested on 2.2.5 too :)

We want it to work for 2.9! ;)

jimmy mac 01-09-2003 07:37 AM

dear god, if someone re-wrote this for nuke 6.0 and vBulletin 2.2.8 or 2.2.9 and eventually 3.0 i would be one of the happiest dudes alive. this is a great hack and is much needed!

BladesM3 02-07-2003 02:10 PM

for all those with nuke 6.0. Install it the way it says, then remove 'your account' from the modules section and edit in your theme.php the link for 'your account' or add one and have it point to the 'user cp' in vbull.

modules/Vbull/usercp.php?s=

that way users edit their information via vbull not nuke. it works fine for me now.

BladesM3 02-07-2003 02:13 PM

also i then edited the 'whose online' block and added 'http://www.yoursite.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=logout' link so users can og out when they want.

SHalliday 02-19-2003 06:11 PM

Does anyone have a site integrated with php-nuke 6.5 and Vb 2.2.9 that we can view how the integration works?

Mythril 02-22-2003 09:37 PM

Well now Nuke 6.5 and vb 2.3.0 are out. BladesM3 I will try what you did. Thanks

wooolF[RM] 02-22-2003 11:23 PM

]After using PHPNUKE for over 1 year I can say this : It's nothing compared to LDU! Period!

Here's the link : http://ldu.neocrome.net

Now call me spammer, flame me etc, I would just love it :)

Cheers

SHalliday 02-27-2003 02:10 PM

I got it working on Nuke 5.6 and vb 2.2.9 with no problems. My only concerns now to figure out is:

1. How to integrate the logins. so when you login to one you are logged into both and visa versa. (Any thoughts?)

2. Merging the account info data somehow for user template changes. (If you redirect the "Your info" in nuke then you won't be able to affect changes to your styles for nuke, etc). Guess you could add those links directly to another module and place on the main nuke page somewhere.

GREAT HACK Though..

BTW I'm using Vb / Photopost / php-nuke and all are integrated now.. Photopost authenicates to the VB user db and this hack for php-nuke.. what a wonderful combination.

SHalliday 03-01-2003 04:46 AM

Ok I upgraded to version 6 and boom it quit. Anyone got this working yet? :( I'm trying to go through and figure out the changes but nada yet.

X PsychoTron X 03-21-2003 07:37 PM

Has anyone got a hack like this that will work with nuke 6 and vB 2.2.9? At the moment I have my site set up with those and it would be awesome if the user accounts could be linked so people didn't have to register twice, once for the main site and once for the forums. If anyone here can help me out it would be much appreciated. :)

Mythril 03-29-2003 01:51 AM

I guess I will have to try it, I'll let you guys know if it will work.

X PsychoTron X 03-29-2003 04:13 AM

I talked to w4u the other day and he says that someone posted a version of this hack that works with php nuke 6 on his forums. They are down right now though, so I hope he opens them back up soon. :D

Mythril 04-05-2003 02:31 AM

Well vb 2.3.0 is out so hopfully that and nuke 6 work out.

I think the biggest issue people have with vBPortal is the cost...

First of all, vbportal is free. The second laugh is that I guess $20 to have a LOT of amazing features, far more than vblite or vbhome whatever it is, is too much for a donation is laughable! I've been fortunate to work with those guys at phpportals and my web site is nice and doesn't even use half the power...

I'm working on this hack but not one that just registers. It's not as easy as one hopes which is why it isn't out just yet.

Mythril 04-07-2003 03:14 AM

Thanks slinky for posting. I hope yours will be better :)

slinky 04-10-2003 04:53 AM

Looking at 6.5 I'm not sure what to do. It seems like FB has created a huge mess with the phpBB2 forum integration. I'm not sure what will be done for 7.0 so investing all the time in hacking something also comes down to what in the world I really want to use. I'm not sure Nuke is the answer any more although i'm not sure what else is good that is out there. What a bummer.
