Thanks for the plugin. I too have same issue with mega and in fact it's causing by selecting multiple forums from the list by holding ctrl key select. I selected all forums and save and now plugin works.
However, i'm using custom option to color first post differently, and did this on <div class="postbody"style="background: black;"> but all background of posts are black now.. I copied legacy postbit where the avatars are on left. |
Hmmm, can you paste the contents of ozzmodz_firstpost_display_postbit here.

Good Lord... I checked it again to get content and found out that i actually edited legacy instead of the plugin's template... Now, i pasted legacy to plugin's template made the change about first post and everything is fine, working good under 4.2.2 Thanks and sorry for my mistake Kind Regards |
Not a problem, happens to all of us. :)
|
very good mod. Thanks
|
Glad ya like it, and thanks for marking as installed. :)

Hi Ozzy, it's me again...
While it's a plugin idea, it's based on same purpose of your plugin. Let's say i need to keep first post along with some other important posts always on top ? Like a moderation tool. You select some posts in xx pages of thread and keep them always on top like first first idea. I'm happy with the plugin, but it'd be cool to select some posts in thread and keep them at top instead of merging posts of different users. Cheers and Best Regards |
There is an error show " The following dependencies were not met:
This product is not compatible with version 5.3.28 of PHP. (Compatible starting with 5.4.0)" |
It works fine for me but I have one problem. I cannot make the first post have a different color no matter what I do. I've tried using the postbit template code, I've tried using the postbit_legacy template code, I've tried adding my own div class in the additional.css template and then changing it in the ozz template to no avail.

How about duplicate meta descriptions in page 1 and another pages when use first post all page?
//sorry my english :( |

But I doubt it hurts, as on this site, all the mod threads and style threads have the first post on all pages. |

HTML Code:
<meta name="description" content="Page 2-[OzzModz] First Post On All Pages Per Thread/Forum vBulletin 4.x Add-ons" /> HTML Code:
<meta name="description" content="Page 3-[OzzModz] First Post On All Pages Per Thread/Forum vBulletin 4.x Add-ons" /> You can see in attachments (at your webiste) |
Same thing happens on all threads in vBulletin, look at this thread, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=162335
First page of the thread: Code:
<meta name="keywords" content="The one and only Happy Birthday thread, vbulletin,forum,bbs,discussion,jelsoft,bulletin board,hacks,modifications,addons,articles,programming,site review" /> Code:
<meta name="keywords" content="The one and only Happy Birthday thread, vbulletin,forum,bbs,discussion,jelsoft,bulletin board,hacks,modifications,addons,articles,programming,site review" /> |

Only difference I see is the page number in the description.

I just installed. I have the forums set that I want it to show in, along with the appropriate user groups to be able to view, and none of the existing threads are showing first post.

Our site uses postbit legacy. Does that make a difference? |
No that is what I use, so it should be working.

That is correct, if you read the first post it explains that.
Q. How do I use the custom template? |

Hi, i need that only themes from certain uswrgroup show post in all pages...
And if i can specific themes by id that i DONT want to show first post in all pages should be lovely Can i pay for this :) |
This won't work if you have threads sorted by newest first. The mod (and the old one) do not handle this case. I guess the first post, which is actually the last post on the last page should be stuck on top?
|
Yeah it would be possible to set it up that way I suppose.
|
I know it's kind of bass ackwards but I found a case where it would be useful.
|
Would it be hard to modify this Add-On to enable users to chose the option to have the first post appear on top while they're creating the thread?
Kind of like: First post on top?: Y/N |
Yeah that would require a bit of doing.
|
ozzy, your mod has this in it.
Code:
"; $forums = array(0 => $vbphrase['dbtech_act_all_forums']); |
That's what happens when you have written stuff for a different entity sometimes. :) I will fix it in the next version.
|
v1.1.1 (October 14,2014)
Fixed a incorrect phrase in one of the settings. |
Can it be made collapsible like on vb.org?
|
I can look into it at some point.
|
ozzy, i noticed that the 1st post on the first page is using my forum default postbit_legacy template even though I switch to the 'ozzmodz_firstpost_display_postbit' template and I am using the regular posbit template. That template only shows on the other pages, but not on page one.
The mod I was using before used whatever posit template I choose on all pages. Is this something that can be changed? |
No, this only changes the postbit on pages above #1, it is designed that way to make the post stand out from the replies on the page. I saw no need to do this on the first page, as it is the first post in the thread. :)
