OK...I did that. Not sure if I am asking for a feature for the excluded forums mod or for the extended search links mod. :) But I hope you know what I am looking for. Either add "unanswered threads" to the options under the exclude forum mod or ......

change the extended search in quick links mod so that it doesn't pull unanswered threads.

Either way....whichever mod this feature is added to....you just shouldn't get results from excluded forums when you click on "Unanswered Threads".

So confusing...does this make sense?

I just discovered that this is not working on my site. I thought it was because I have another mod that allows users to select forums to exclude in their general settings. I have members telling me that they are still seeing the RSS posts in the forum that I had excluded in this mod. I looked and saw that I had it selected in my own settings through the other mod so they weren't showing up for me.

So, I have "Ebay Listings" excluded globally with this mod. They are not showing in New Activity but do show up when you click on New Posts. Did I misunderstand or is this just an issue with my setup?

Could be a conflict with another mod, or something in the setup.

Yeah I just checked on my site to verify, and it is working as intended. So I am not sure at all why it would not work on your site, unless there is a conflict with another mod, or the settings are not set right.

No problem. Hard to make something work for everybody. I just found a search template edit that did the job. Even excluded that forum from your Quick Search mod for unanswered threads and etc. It's all good my friend.

Really strange your forum has so many issues with my mods that other users have not reported. :confused:

Yea, I know. I have thought the same thing. Have no idea why. Other mods seem to work fine. I don't know if it has something to do with the MySQL version, VBulletin 4.2.3, the fact that my forum is installed in a directory (forum) or what. There must be something though.

Other things seem to work fine. Dragon bytes pic gallery, Photopost classifieds, Dragon Bytes donate system, an OLD thank you mod. Many other things installed and no issues at all with them.

I'm certainly not blaming you. You have some great mods that seem to work for the majority of folks. Several of them work well for me also.

I know, it is just frustrating as a developer when it is not working correctly, and you can not pinpoint the issue. :(

Can this mod be modded to also exclude a user/sub forum from showing up in "Last Post"?

This is on the main forum page on the right which shows who the last post was by, and the thread title. The RSS feeds will show up there on the front page, but ideally these posts will be hidden unless going into that forum.

Not the way the mod is, it only works on the search function.

Love it Ozzy!! Finally got to installing it to keep all the "New Member Welcome Threads" from showing up in the New Posts search.php page lol ... it works like a charm !!!

I was getting a lot of complaints that all the new member welcome threads were getting spammed by other members thus the list was mostly that and they had to go through pages to find the good posts lol ...this did it !!! Love you Ozzy !!! haha ! :)

Not sure if this mod can do the job, but this is what i want to do:

I want to exclude a certain forum from ALL the search queries.

I mean not only exclude this forum from the New Posts and Today's Posts searches. I want to exclude from the search results, even 2 years old threads/posts of this forum.

Is it possible with this plugin, on any other modification?

Hard code it in.
I use the following in 3.8.8.
I do not use vb4 so I am not sure of the proper coding.
