Content of existing PM.
Not interested to debate is that ok or not, I was also thinking that this would be unethical then I got problems with some users...lost about 30 active users as two guys were working for few months to "force" some of my users to their forums... now I got 50% less activity cause of this, could prevent that but in that time I just did not have right tools.

We should look our forums as small state, we need tools [in some cases] to prevent things on time.

Thank you for your time

Yes, in the pro version, you have the ability to see the Pm's from any user in it's entirety.

A fix has been applied to the product. It fixes a issue that on mobile devices, you could not view your private message list, if certain options were chosen.

To apply the fix, fix you can re download the product, and upload dbtech/vbsuper_pm/hooks/preview/template_render_output.php

Note: The showing of the senders avatar in the private message list, and the PM Previews will not work in the mobile style. This was taken out to facilitate users who are browsing with their mobile devices. They are paying more, so they want to surf the site a bit faster. Adding the above, would just slow them down, and make their browsing experience less desirable.

Applying fix as suggested causes navtabs in cms to show tabids (ex: #tabid?cms#) instead of tab title name (ex: Home)

Re-uploaded old template_render_output.php file and problem goes away.

This occurred on all styles installed for my site.

Just a heads-up ;)

DragonByte Tech 06-07-2013 11:07 PM

Thanks, I'll look into why it is doing that and report back.

I believe I have this sorted. To apply the fix, fix you can re download the product, and upload dbtech/vbsuper_pm/hooks/preview/template_render_output.php

Let me know if you run into any issues with it.

just installed, another great mod from [DBTech]

DragonByte Tech 06-14-2013 10:37 PM

vBSuper PM's has been nominated for June Mod of the Month!

Visit the Mod of the Month poll and vote for your favorite mod, even if it is not this one.

v1.2.0 now available.

Most of the fixes were already implemented in hotfixes, but this makes it official.

Well without further ado here is the list of stuff.

Bug Fixes And Issue Fixes:
Fixed: A issue where you might see a error similar to this, "Warning: explode() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in [path]/dbtech/vbsuper_pm/hooks/common/usercp_nav_complete.php"
Fixed: Some spelling mistakes in some of the phrases.
Fixed: Some missing menu items in the left hand ACP menu for the mod.
Fixed:A issue where usergroup settings were not saving in the Reply To All settings.Fixed: A issue where the Reply To All might not show up in the PM if it was to multiple receivers.
Fixed: A issue where, the Folder Controls block will only move to the top when the Move Download Options is set the "Yes".
Fixed: A issue if you choose to move folder controls to the top, the download PM's would disappear if you left them at the bottom of the page.
Fixed: A issue where pruning of PM's via cron job was not working.
Fixed: A issue with mobile styles that you could not see your PM list.
Fixed: A issue where users could not see a attachment they were sent in a PM, if they were not allowed to upload attachments. (Pro)
Fixed: A issue with a missing plugin. Now you will now able to see the attachment in the PM if you preview it, before sending. (Pro)
Fixed: Added some missing phrases.

There is probably a few small fixes I forgot to write down, but hopefully all known bugs are sorted.

Changes To Existing Features:
Changed: In the Pro version that now only users set to, superadministrators, in config.php, can view the private message content in the PM Log.
Changed: In the settings for, PM Auto Reply Settings, the setting, Excluded Usergroups, has now changed to, Included Usergroups. So if any of you use PM Auto Reply, you will need to update this setting accordingly.

Additions To Product From Feature Requests Or Just Something Else Added:
Lite
  • You now can have username html markup on the users names when viewing your private message list, in any of the folders.
Pro
  • Added to the attachment in PM's, so now that it functions just like attachments in posts, with the manage attachments button and all.

Another great Mod. Thank you guys.
What an improvement to the standard PM system. Nominated!!

Even when I not really need the Pro version I still will get it just as an appreciation for all the hard work.

Noticed one small issue so far:
When entering the date in the "auto reply" settings after entering a day and hitting the tab key it doesn't jump to the month field but into the "end date" day field.
Technically instead of going from left to right the cursor jumps up and down.

Just minor but at least wanted to mention it

sticky 06-24-2013 06:07 AM

In addition to minimum posts could we get minimum reputation to send pm's?

angeljs 06-24-2013 07:13 AM

Installed and nominated - love it!

That has been requested and is under consideration.

Installed the Lite version a week ago. I just noticed this message never shows the actual percentage its always blank. -- "Your Private message storage has reached, % of the total amount allowed for you"

As such the mod is an excellent one.

XGC Viper XI 07-15-2013 07:04 PM

When sending a Mass PM, why does it send a Mass PM when all the primary usergroups are selected but when I select only two in the Primary Usergroups or the Additional Usergroups it states that No Users Matched Your Criteria?

I just purchased and this product would allow me to replace several mods I just really need the minimum reputation option. Please add it when you can :)

sticky 07-19-2013 03:50 AM

After installing this I'm getting quote notifications (I have User Tagging installed) even though I have it marked to disable quote notifications in settings.

When the inbox is displayed with the message, the percent value is missing. Here is the fix.

Edit the dbtech_vbsuper_pm_quota_percentage template

Change: vb:raw percentage

To: vb:raw pmpercent

Is this mod works like this,

Minimum Posts needed (say 10 posts in the last 30 days) To read a PM sent by other members or to Send PM to other members.

I had seen some vbulletin board, but doesn't know exactly which mod is doing working like this. Help me friends!

The lite version of this mod has the following:

Minimum Posts To Send PM's
  • On/Off globally in acp settings.
  • Setting for minimum posts in order to send pm's.
  • Excluded usergroups from minimum post count.
  • Staff usergroup setting so if user has not reached x posts they still should be able to send pm's to staff groups if so desired.

Being handled on the DBT site, since you double posted the issue. Also you have the Pro version, so that is the proper place to get support.

Chris

I understand but it's much easier to post here. Regardless, posting in both places helps those here see any issues and also gets your attention. So, since I have the pro version I posted where you asked and I see no harm in informing users here as well of what may be an issue and one I am experiencing.

I think you should be friendlier especially to paying customers. I feel like you try to discourage support.

It wasn't Chris's intention to be unfriendly; he made the statement so people wouldn't think your issue was being ignored if it wasn't replied to here. Since you double posted he also let you know that the pro support forums is the correct place for your issue. Double posting usually indicates users aren't quite sure exactly where they should be posting their problem.

Sorry for any confusion the post may have caused :)

Obviously I knew the support forum was the correct place since I posted there so why tell me what I already know and already did?

Considering this thread exists here it is valid to comment on the product in the thread for said product is it not?

Regardless, non-issue and no big deal I enjoy the product just want all the features I paid for to function is all which is why support exists.

Generally if someone posts in several places, it's because they weren't sure what the correct one was and they wanted to cover all of their bases. The vast majority of pro customers only post in the pro support forums. If someone posts in multiple places we let them know what the correct one is, just in case they were unsure.

It is valid to comment, but please be aware that due to vbulletin.org rules we cannot actually discuss or support the pro versions of our mods here on vbulletin.org.

I'm glad you're enjoying the product, hopefully my posts clarified the response you received :)

I understand the vbulletin.org rules and that is why I posted on your forums as requested.

I also feel that vbulletin.org is a place for admins to discuss modifications and how they affect their board so anyone downloading modifications to their boards should be aware of potential issues users are having. If issues are only posted in one spot away from here that does a disservice to everyone.

Regardless, all bases are covered and I am enjoying the product which is why I bought it :)

Respectfully, I disagree.

The Pro version may have issues unique to it (features not found in Lite) - additionally, since issues are answered at our forum, users may get a false impression that we are not responding or handling the issue in a timely manner.

Giving people the impression we are not providing support is doing them a much bigger disservice than alerting people that there may or may not be an issue with a feature they don't have access to, wouldn't you agree? :)
