It wont show up in profile till you do.

And be sure to enter usergroup numbers in acp for usergroups that can use.

You know what's simple? Linking to a video to be displayed on your profile, but not changing the default "auto start" setting from 'no' to 'yes'.

You know what else is simple? Not clicking to have a video played when you happen to be checking out someone's profile page.

Those two things are going to happen. And people not watch a video when visiting someone's profile is what I had before I installed this mod.

How does this complicate things, and for whom? If a yes/no default setting is too much for an an Admin, they shouldn't be installing mods. If the user who's linking a video has trouble figuring it out figure out, then they can just leave the default setting alone. This coder has clearly displayed that he has the capability to implement this request without breaking vBulletin.

I don't think this is hard.

But that's just me.

Your user control panel, you know, where you set your own avatar etc.

You will see a menu selection on the left menu bar toward the bottom.

Click on youtube settings, and a page will open allowing you to enter in a youtube url etc.

If one is interested for your profile he will click, personally I think its annoying that video auto starts, therefore i think this option you are requesting is not need and if it will take just 1B more from server resource I am against it, but its just me.

I think it is always up to the profile owner to make their page annoying or not.

It is up to the visitor to decide if it is annoying.

I myself have my personal profile set to annoying, so that a viewer of my profile page can hear a music selection of my choice just upon pageview.

(hmm, maybe I should Rick-Roll my profile viewers ;) )

Sure it is about profile owner, that is already implemented and that's ok...we are talking here about option that admin set globally all videos to auto play by default and than that user changes it if he wants...this is not needed by me as an option for admin...

but if Stangger have time for that please go ahead :D we will have plenty annoyig profiles on www :D

If two videos are linked and the Auto Start is selected, both videos start playing on page load. This is using the YouTube page link (not share) opton.

I think you can only set autostart for the first video?

If an Admin finds that a video automatically playing on page load is annoying, maybe that Admin would like the ability to disable the autoplay ability altogether?

OK, I see you inputted the youtube full url.

Make sure that you have the acp settings set for "page" url and not the "share" setting.

It only works one way or the other.

edit to add, I looked at your usercp image again and I do see that you have it set for page by the text, otherwise it would show "share" instead of "page".

Now that is odd. I only just installed this myself, and mine works like it should. I should leave this for the op to figure out.

One of my members had an issue with videos not displaying thanks to her iPad not copying the full YouTube links (leaving off the 'http://'). Maybe worth double-checking the links and also making sure there's no preceding space inserted when pasting.

Admin to have option in CP to set video for all new users, than you make some annoying video and upload it to youtube, video will say change me change me...to force users to use this awesome option

I signed in using Chrome and surely yes, the issue stated in the thread above is clear..

It is after one clicks on the play button that the error is displayed..

When I first logged on and checked my profile, the boxes are black and look ready to go...

I have only seen that when you enter in a share url and have it set to the html url instead.

Hi, does this mod causes extensive server resources or for the tables to lock when importing the xml? i have over 1.5 million members, and when i tried to import the xml, it gave me endless loading and i can't load the forum, i presume it is locking my table?

What should i do to make the mini youtube appear on my profile?

I havent noticed that on my usage. But upon profile view, there is cpu time on the client waiting for two external server requests. YouTube always isnt the faster server to hook up to.

I think if all 1.5mil went to their profile pages at once though.......

Works now :0) had to delete these old fields and reimport the xml.
