Apologies for the delay in support, everyone. We forgot to add this mod to our Subscriptions, so we did not get alerts for new support threads.
This is exactly why we prefer to handle support over at our own forums - you can visit the support forums for this mod here: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/forumdisplay.php?f=204 Quote:

We cannot look over vBulletin.org threads when planning new versions due to the fact that these threads grow quite large over time :) Quote:

Also, some members may not be displayed if their IP address cannot be resolved. That is a limitation of PHP that we cannot work around. Fillip |
Perfekt -.-
Wohne in Nigeria???? Edit:Gel?scht und andere geholt ;) |

The field accepts entries without a # prefix and works fine for all HTML Hex color codes except "black" or Hex 000000 In fact, if you put a # prefix in front of any Hex code, it truncates the last HEX character, screwing up the color. For example. Using FCFF00 If you put a # in front as you suggest, it becomes #FCFF0, cutting off the last HEX 0 character because it counts the # as one of the 6 character input numbers required. Installed today. Looks right but I have issues. I read everything here. Users over 14000, Google Chrome, server loaded as usually. How long need to wait to update (approximately?) After few hours showed less than 100 locations. Is it possible to show the most users on map? I know some IP might not have been resolved.
Second issue. Some nicknames changing when I update a website. I have 2 users from Vienna. They change each other after every click refreshing. Why can't be 2 nicknames at the same time if they live in the same location? |

Also wondered if this is something I have setup wrong or because of the IP thing, I have a some members who are in a different usergroup but they are also in registered users, could this cause issues if both groups are displayed on the map? Thanks Tom |
It seems like not working properly. Still the same locations after 24h...

It would be great if it can communicate with the "Location" in the profile fields.
|
That's impossible, as users can enter anything they wish in that field. If you enter "Middle Earth", what exactly is Google Maps supposed to do with that? That's not a valid latitude / longitude coordinate set ;)

The biggest issue, as I mentioned before, is that you have only a binary choice of showing all 130,000 members (server crash!) or just those online right now (not very useful). It definitely needs some filtering mechanisms. |
How many people do you have on your average forum that input either complete, valid street addresses or valid Lat/Long coords into their Location fields? :p

Ah, that could potentially be intensive.
Feature requests should be posted in our forum though :) Thanks! Fillip |
i cant find any option about member map and i cant find any setting
where i find the setting in ACP ? :( |
and if i click membermap only map showing not showin any members why
|
Try adding yourself to Super Administrators, and give it at least 24 hours before you start noticing members appearing on the map :)
Fillip |
what is the trick to view this ??
I am an admin, cannot get any higher.. but yet it tells me I don't have the correct perms ?? I see no setting's anywhere to set permissions |
Did you try setting the permissions in the Usergroup Manager?
Fillip |
had to turn the 'can opt out' to yes 'view map' was already yes
|
Working great. I love it.
|
Working great under VB4.2.0 PL3
Is it possible to add an option to map all users having at least 1 post? Thanks a lot Eros |
I don't think that's possible at this time, sorry. If you want to suggest it as a new feature, I'd urge you to post it in our forum - suggestions made here at vBulletin.org will be lost in time since we don't have any issue tracking systems here.

How detailed does the map go into? Is it zoomable (assume it is) to the point of showing street addresses? What geo-location data is used to determine the map location?
|
It is zoomable yeah.
The registration IP is used, although members can also manually re-deploy their pin in case the IP provides an inaccurate location. Fillip |
Cool. Thank you for the quick response.

I dont understand how this mod works...
I have installed since one week and my map appears empty. Im using vBulletin 4.2.0 version and have 125.000 members. My admin group config: Can View Member Map: Yes Excluded From Display: No Can Edit Own Location: Yes Can Opt Out: Yes Already have run Member Map Geolocation manually... but map still empty. What Im doing wrong? Thanks! |
Do you have GeoIP installed on your server?

Member Map v1.1.1
Feature: "Minimum Posts" option to limit users appearing on the map Change: Changed the Branding display method to inject itself into the copyright footer (underneath vBulletin copyright) instead of the page footer. Change: Changed the Branding Free Key to a more secure key. Fillip |

Well I showed up and put me in Niagara, and I'm in PA. Also can't see the text link in the box. How do you change it?

You can change it by dragging and dropping your pin :) Fillip |
Strange, if i am NOT logged in i can see the map and user. If i am loggend in as admin i see not map and no user :(
any idea? The Usergroup has the right settings. best eric |
This has been handled @ our site :)
Fillip |
IS there a way to find yourself if the map has you in the wrong spot?
|
I am having a hard time finding the place to set the CSS for the backcolor of the user popup box. I'm getting white text in a white box.
Can someone point me in the right direction. |
