I hadnt done that,now it shows fine.

Had somebody donate today, I can't see it to confirm it. My "admin" group has the permission to view it.

Also, nothing happens when I try to manually add a donation.

Hey Ozzy47, I went to the the list "http://www.MYSITE.net/vbdonate/list" and I saw the button that says "Add Contributor Manually" but it doesn't do anything for some reason (No URL for this button to head to) I don't know if its bugged or what.

I followed your URL path but sadly its Invalid URL so I tried http://www.MYSITE.net/vbdonate?do=contrib_table_unc but sadly went straight to the main donation page http://www.MYSITE.net/vbdonate/index.

So at this stage I can not add manually the donations no.

Has this been sorted for VB5 yet? we have it installed by your guys and to be honest we are not using it as it only does what a PAYPAL link button is capable of doing.

I know you busy with the VB4 update but is there a time scale for this to be fixed? or at least a basic working mod so it lists who has donated and shows the donation goal actually showing who has donated and how far we have left to go.

Unfortunately I've not had time to work on the vB5 versions yet, as there's a lot of work involved to fix all the URLs.

Yea I'm still having issues with manually adding contributions. If there is anyone that knows of this issue please help. (Button doesn't work when I try to click on it when I want to add one in the listing area).

Dated: November 2013, Have you had time to amend/update this yet to 5.0.5? It's now Jan 2014?

Not stable on 5.0.5 - the "Contribute" button returns you to your forum homepage - complete waste of time. AVOID TILL RESOLVED - great potential else.

I rushed to comment on this - I have it working to an extent now... However, When a user pays (I'm on 5.0.5 - there is no trace/audit/sign of this payment on vBDonate, so the bar is STUCK at £0. )

Needs AMENDING QUICKLY!

This modification is flagged as Alpha software. vBulletin 5 differs from vB4 in that they are still making major changes to the software that will affect custom modifications. You should not be upgrading from 5.0.4 (which we tested this mod on) until you're certain all modifications you're using will work.

That being said, we do intend to update these mods, but we're currently very busy with our vB3/vB4 commitments, where the majority of our users are :)

Does this mod work for 5.1.0?

It never worked perfectly on 5.0.5...

As you can see above, the developer is in no rush to fix the issues either (I made them aware in Jan 2014 that the "Contribution Goal" doesnt work, along with a list of other things.

The ONLY working thing, is the fact you can select a donation amount.

Everything else is broke, I wrote a thread on the developers site - same response as above..

So to save yourself the disappointment - make your own links etc

(I use it on 5.1 - not much works)

One day the developer may surprise us and release a fix.... Don't hold your breath though mate :)

i didn't upload vbdonate.php to admincp after uploading now it works great for me.

Thus far I have not been able to get this working in 5.1.1, the contribute button does nothing. I have verified that all files have been uploaded correctly and all fields have been filled out properly.

I get that this is alpha/beta software but if base functionality isn't even in place why release it at all? It's been the better part of a year now... don't you think it's time to put some effort into this project?

I am unable to replicate this issue, and it's been tested in vB 5.1.1 as well as vB 51.2 Alpha 3.

Please try inspecting the page via debug tools (available in Chrome/Opera Next/IE via the F12 button).

The product was released before we realised the complete lack of interest in vB5 modules from our customers, and before we discovered that the rapid improvements made by the vB5 dev team would often be backwards compatible.

DragonByte Tech is a business, and a small business at that. At the time of writing, we have 110 releases. Subtracting the 30 vB3 releases, as the vB3 and vB4 versions are largely identical (ignoring template differences), you're left with 80 unique products. I'm sure I don't need to go into great detail explaining why actively maintaining 80 unique products is completely infeasible for a small business ;)

The reality of the situation is that the vast majority of our Lite users and Pro customers want more vB4 mods, and we still have an active vB3 install base. If the demand for vB5 modifications existed, we would meet it (so long as it didn't heavily infringe on the schedule for vB4 modifications).

Our vB5 modifications will remain in Alpha until such a time as the code base for vB5 has "settled" in a similar way vB4 did (long before 4.2.2 was released) and the demand rises to a point where we can comfortably dedicate the resources needed to properly develop and maintain our vB5 portfolio.

Hopefully that has clarified the situation somewhat for you :)

vb 5.1.5 installed but l dont see.

That is a server error page, you'll need to investigate your server's error log in oder to see the real reason behind that error.

Did you deploy any of the donation modules onto your pages?

Using 5.1.4 I can get the modules to display but no place for people to actually donate from. Awards are also disabled.

I can manage it throught admin panel.
I 've created a new page in which I've added the 2 modules for vbdonate and it works.

But now when clicking on "contribute" button, it opens the home page of the forum.

Do you have an idea of what is missing here?

Trying to debug this, now I have some improvements.
The "contribute" button leads to a page with url http://xxxxx/vbdonate/contribute which is good.

But the content of this page has only errors.
Does this help?

5.1.7. it seems to be working up until you click the donate button, then it goes to /vbdonate/contribute and sits at a blank page. any ideas what might be going on?

Update: I have re-installed, now when I hit the contribute button it just adds # to the address bar.

Yes, that issue is why we are no longer able to provide support for vB5.

As far as I know, vB 5.2 is still not fully compatible with custom modifications, but we'll continue to monitor for news of the restoration of the needed functionality.

Is it possible to change the Contribution Request Reason Message? I try to edit the widget in Edit Page but clicking on the text does nothing - it's falsely formatted for our site and not the reason why we collect donations, so I want to change it.

Hello, I changed all the settings to the correct PayPal, but the donate widget isn't showing on my forums. I'm using version 5.4.5, am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: Nevermind, I needed to drag the module on the page... duh! Works very well on the latest vBulletin version (5.4.5)
