The appears to be a vB5 bug. Even with the redirect being the only command in the routine, the errors happen.

Youre right on that one, I had the feeling that would be the problem indeed. For instance, going back to the site from the MOD panel gives an error too. I'll see if there is a JIRA entry there, otherwise I'll post it!

I posted one in JIRA, I see there are several others with the same general symptoms.

For font color of any questions or header phrase you can use basic html without quotes. With quotes it gives a short error in question making section. I would imagine you can use other html codes like bold, underline, font size...

Here's how I did my header phrase:
It works perfect and even displays in posted forum like that without the html codes ofcourse.

As far as what grotesque said I too get the error after someone submits. It returns to invalid page...

NOTE that today's release is compatible with vB 5 version 5.0.2 only, it is not compatible with any version prior to that.

Question though, is it possible to change the text upon trying to create an application when the usergroup has no access to it? Currently it says;

Absolutely! You can change any phrase shown.

Go to ACP->Languages & Phrases->Search in Phrases
In the 'Search for Text' box put advapp
Tick the 'Phrase Variable Name Only' selection
Click the 'Find' button.

In this case, you want to edit the 'advapp_sorry' phrase.

EDIT: But unregistered members shouldn't be able to see the application form widget with the application types in it. Just be sure that usergroup 1 is in ACP->Settings->Options->Application Form Settings-- Banned Usergroup Settings

I just noticed I haven't pointed something else out..

The way the application looks can be changed by going to ACP->Styles & Templates->Style Manager, select Style Variable Editor for the style your using and edit the ApplicationForms settings.

Note that this is just for the application itself. It does not change the way the way the post looks after the application is filled out.

I got a huge problem I cant either uninstall orreinstallthe xml it stucks on the progrssbar in vb I can only see this: [:] asprogressbar. This just happens on this mod allother can be uninstalled and reinstalled :( hanging on beta 5 what can I do?

Beta 5 of this mod? If so, follow these instructions in the ReadMe.txt file...

* Removal *

1) Go to ACP->Settings->Options->Plugin/Hook System and set it to 'No'.

2) Uninstall the product in ACP->Products & Hooks->Manage Products.

3) Delete the core/packages/advapp5 folder from your server.

4) Delete the core/admincp/advappadmin.php file from your server.

5) Delete the admincp/img/module-icon-advapp.png file from your server.

6) Go to ACP->Settings->Options->Plugin/Hook System and set it to 'Yes'.

If you don't follow those instructions, the mod will not uninstall. This does not happen with the lastest version.

Pretty good mod and easy to set up. Only thing that might make it better is if you could get it to display the form as a new post to an already existing thread.

I'm unable to duplicate your problem. It works fine in 5.0.3 for me.

Try disabling any other mods you might have to see if the problem goes away.

Or post all of your settings for the application system and describe exactly where and how you get the error so I can try to duplicate it.

I do not I have any other mod installed, this is the only one, is a new installation, the forum is newly installed, if you agree I can send my ftp login details and master account.

That can't be done. If you put the application module in any forum, it will appear in all forums.

That is a limitation of vB itself, not the application system.

Installed 5.0.4 PL 1

1st Mod - I decided to put this on a new page. After I save it, how can I edit the Moderator Form or create new forms. I don't see any breadcrumbs or tabs to get to it unless I know the url.

Forms and settings are edited in the ACP.

For some reason there seems to be a delay before vB 5 shows the application forms selection in the left menu in the ACP.

I have my 1st form ready. I made a recruiting post and linked to the application mod, it uses _blank and creates another page for the user to fill out the form. How can I make the link not open a new page and just open as the same page so the user wont have 2 pages open?

_blank opens pages in a new window so either don't use a target or use _parent or _self.

I have "Multiple Choice w/ All of the above option (Checkbox)" selected in my form, I have 3 games above "All of the above" - when I submitted my form - none of the options (games) shows up, like the user didn't check anything.

I don't see where I can change that option (vB nOOb here). When I hyperlink the form in the post, the user will click it and it will launch a new page.

Thank you for reporting this. I'll have an update out as soon as I can to fix this problem.

In the meantime, use the regular checkbox without the 'all of the above' option.

Unfortunately that is a function of vBulletin's BB Code.

The only way I know of to change it is to create a custom BB Code and use target _self for that code. However, I have no idea if custom BB Codes are working in vB 5 or not so I can't help you there.
