In order to confirm contributions, you need to visit the unconfirmed contributions tab found on the contributions list page, and manually confirm them after you verify them through your PayPal account, or just manually confirm them since you did it through the SandBox. The Pro version comes with a auto confirmer so you would not have to do that process.

If the nav links and tab are not showing, please confirm you are using the 4.2 navbar template. Also check the Navigation Manager and verify they are showing there.

Chris

thanks Chris for trying to help.

I am using the navbar manager that comes with vBulletin 4.2.0 Patch Level 2.
Checked the options in the Navigation manager and the links don't show up.

As I don't have any links I don't know where the "the unconfirmed contributions tab " is located.
How do I call the "contributions list page"?
It is not "vbdonate.php" I guess? If i call this page I get what you see in the screenshot.

Ok for some reason the Navigation stuff was missing in the zip, please re download the product and install the product xml, allowing overwrite, and let me know if they show up then.

Chris

ah. Now it works. thx for the update
And I was thinking I was to stupid to figure it out. :)

One more quick question:
In real we are a non-profit organization. The PayPal fees charged are they just because of the Sandbox test environment and in real transactions members will have the option to select gift/donation so no charges to us will be applied?

thx
Michael

DragonByte Tech 09-08-2012 12:05 AM

No not at this time, the person receiving the contributions pays the fees, I will see about changing it in a future version.

Hey Chris, does move the user back to a registered user group say after 1 year if there donation is set to expire in the pro version? I really wish you would make this for 3.8x as well.

DragonByte Tech 09-11-2012 09:37 AM

No it does not switch the usergroup back at any time, it is something I have thought about adding, but if I did it would only work on users that contributed after this was added, as I would have to get their current groups and store them in the db. The problem is lets say a user contributes, and some time later you promote them to a different group be it primary or additional, when the mod would reset the user, they would be set to what they were a year ago.

I seriously doubt this will be converted to 3.8 as it is considered end of life by vBulletin and with vB5 looming, it will need to be updated to that as well, (but never say never).

Chris

vBDonate has been nominated Mod of the Month!

I would like to thank everyone who nominated it. Please visit the Mod of the Month and vote for your favorite mod!

Welp, many of us refuse to buy into vb4, so that's unfortunate you wouldn't consider supporting it.

Your mod just has to support primary and secondary user groups and it would work with a time stamp. I've been using the aw coding donation system pro and it works very well controlling people who expire after a set period and drops them back to their default user group.

shayanr 09-13-2012 02:16 AM

Can I ask if you have any kind of ETA on a cms widget ? I would love to buy this product if I knew the widget would be coming out soon.

The problem there is the development time versus sales, it probably would not be lucrative to code it to run on the 3.x series.

I will be looking into that to see if it is feasible.

I do have a cms widget that can be added manually, it is basic but it is something.

I am waiting for one of the other dev's to get some free time to give me some pointers on codding it into the product, so I don't have a estimate on when.

How do we relocate the contribute now image from the right corner to the bottom center?

When "Adding Contributor Manually" the ip address defaults to the User ID box. Now when you view the members list you see two ip address. Also the user who you entered manually is not credited for the donation. How can I fix this? Thanks.

Look at contribution #11
Attachment 141239

DragonByte Tech 09-15-2012 07:25 PM

When you added the contributor manually, in the "User ID:" field did you add the users name or the users id number?

Chris

ejbreeze 09-15-2012 07:42 PM

Thanks. I was entering users name. It is going to be a pain to look up all those id#. Is it possible to have multiple awards? Like one award for each donation amount? Thanks again.

DragonByte Tech 09-15-2012 07:48 PM

Multiple awards for different donation levels is going to be added in a future release, and is a pro only option.

Why do you have to enter alot of users manually?

Chris

ejbreeze 09-15-2012 08:03 PM

I just bought your pro version and branding. I see now I should be able to import my AWC coding stats into this program so maybe there won't be a lot of manual entries. Thanks for your help.

DragonByte Tech 09-15-2012 08:09 PM

Yes, the pro version will be able to import all the donations from AWC mod or VSA mod with no issues, so you should not have to add any of the contributions from AWC manually. Thanks for supporting DragonByte Tech

For some reason I cant get it to show on my forum at all version 4.2. It shows under the navigation manager. I also have the NavTabs installed but it is not the Pro version. I dont know what other info to give. Any ideas please?

wildheart 09-20-2012 05:47 PM

Ok I enabled it in the sideblock but I dont want it on the side because my forum is not designed that way. How can I place it at the bottom by the footer, if possible?

What was not showing, the tab in the navbar or something else?

Are you saying you want the sideblock to be by the footer of the site instead of the side of the forums?

wildheart 09-21-2012 03:13 AM

Yes before I activated the side blocks it did not show on the tab. Then when I activated the sideblock it showed on the side of my forum, if you look at my forum you will see that it isn't designed to have something on the side and it pushed everything out of balance.

How can I have the donations to only show on the tabs, or footer or anywhere but the side?

DragonByte Tech 09-21-2012 10:27 AM

Even without displaying the sideblocks it still should show a tab in the navbar. You also have the ability to show a goal meter on the site as well, ACP / DBTech - vBDonate / vBDonate DashBoard / Donation Bar Settings and set up all the options in there.

If you do not see a tab in the navbar could you pm me a admin account so I can debug this for you and make sure it is not some error in the script, if you do pm me post a link to this thread so I will know what it is referencing to.

Chris

wildheart 09-21-2012 05:16 PM

Yes please, I will greatly appreciate that. I will pm you access.

DragonByte Tech 09-22-2012 02:46 AM

Replied via pm, for anyone else experiencing a similar issue the navbar template was using code for vB 4.1.x and not using the proper code for vB 4.2.x

Fix: Potential SQL Injection exploit

wildheart 09-25-2012 04:49 AM

Do we have to upload all of it again and will it affect the donations already received?

DragonByte Tech 09-25-2012 09:34 AM

No you can just upload /dbtech/vbdonate/actions/dodonate.php file. It will not affect any donations.

Chris

wildheart 09-25-2012 11:22 AM

Thank you.

ejbreeze 09-27-2012 12:30 AM

Maybe I missed this somewhere but is there the ability for this mod to email out donation reminders for renewals? If not is this something you plan to add in the future? Thanks.

DragonByte Tech 09-27-2012 09:30 AM

No that is not currently a feature, but is has been requested and is under consideration for a future version.

DragonByte Tech 09-28-2012 11:32 PM

Chris

DragonByte Tech 09-30-2012 11:31 AM

Actually never mind the pm, I think I got it fixed, please download the zip, and re-upload the files to your server, no need to import the product xml. Let me know if that fixes it for you.

Chris
