David, should the sidebar box update itself automatically or not? Mine does not update, you have to refresh the page to see the latest statuses and replies.

It shouldn't update automatically at the moment. This might be difficult to do due to how vBulletin handles caching of sidebar blocks. I'll look into the viability of this though! :)

David just a question,

The stream page, how does it work eg. is there say 10 or so updates on the page and when a new item enters the stream, does the last one dissapear and the page stays at 10?

Can there be an option for pagination (pages) to view older updates

At the moment it just displays all of the items. Pagination will be added however :)

well either he didnt know it existed so he didnt impliment this idea into his mod or trying to work on it using the idea from this mod, either way david can get it done quicker now that i point it out to him

David will this function and appear like it does on facebook which facebook calls their stream a ticker? However it puts up instant updates is this what your gold version will do? I certainly want to get the product and all the features I am interested in are in your gold version lol So I just need to be sure if I buy it this won't turn into some of those fly by night mods where eventually support is non existent?

I have been planning to add a lot of the features contained within that mod. There will be plenty more streams along with personal streams also!

That certainly is an interesting idea. Instant updates would be a great feature in this mod. I'll look into adding that as it shouldn't be too difficult with the way I have the mod setup!

i like this one i didnt install it but i have installed few mods from DBTech's they all messed up my forum and i checked his mod aswell i prefer this

Second I would like to ask if it's possible to restrict the content of the status (eg banned words that cannot be used in status) because I would still like to keep things calm on the forum and wouldn't wanna get opossite parties arguing each other through status updates.

David, the most interesting feature for me would be the automatic (ajax?) driven update of the sidebar block or a separate, collapsable box in the forum.
Similar like a shoutbox, but only for these updates
The alternative would be to extend the features of e.g. the MGC Shoutbox. There you can have new threads or replies to threads displayed in the shoutbox. But this can get messy.

So a seperate box that you could easily adjust in its height would be perfect!
If this box would just be 4 or 5 lines in heigt you could always see what is going on in the forum without having to press F5 all the time.
We have some times where we get a lot of support questions and our goal is to answer very fast. So this would just be awesome if this could refresh automatically.
Maybe this block could - optionally - be in two columns where you could define what to show in which column.
Maybe Threads and replies in one column and status updates and other stuff in the other column.

Just thinking loud now :)

Instant updates are definitely on the table, I just have to find a way to do this without slowing servers down too much! :)

- Moved New Thread streams to Lite.
- Added a new stream for new friends. *
- Added censoring of statuses based upon the default vBulletin setting.
- Added a setting for turning statuses on/off.
- Added a setting for turning the navbar link on/off.
- Fixed a bug that would cause statuses not to update under certain circumstances.

Will be interesting to see if you can come up with some streams for social groups - an area that IP/vBulletin has sadly neglected; anything that highlights new social groups, new messages within social groups, join request etc would be most welcome :)

I installed the mod. The box /widget appears however it doesn't expand and I get a white box in the top navbar that one can enter text in but does nothing. That happens on all styles not just the custom ones.

I would love the pro version could you help me out.
