Hi Dylan,

Any update on a 3.8 version becoming available soon? I've got a new site that I'm working on and would love this as a feature of the site. :)

Hey DragonByte Tech,

Love your work! I'm getting this error when I use a test user that is part of the registered user group.

We are sorry but your quiz entry must be approved before you can continue. Please speak with the administrator if you feel this is in error.
I've set the permissions in both Category and Usergroups. Any thoughts?

That's a usergroup permission setting. The setting that deals with that is Entries Auto Approved? So make sure the registered users group has that set to Yes.

I got the following error when I try to take quiz:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/streetra/public_html/v4/includes/class_core.php(4010) : eval()'d code on line 28

Running vB 4.0.2

What type of quiz did you create? If it was variety what type of questions? Would help me narrow down the error.

Dylan

Mulle 04-29-2011 09:25 AM

I have tried several options, but it´s the same result anyway.

Hmm, could you give me an account with access to take quizzes? I tried to signup but there was an error and I couldn't read it :)
I'm not sure if you ever gave me one for garage work.

Installed lite version for testing with thanks, before purchasing Pro version ... :)

Everything installed fine and I checked option setups ...

Unfortunately, I don't see any way to get at the product as it doesn't appear on any of the Navbars or under drop down boxes?

What am I missing?

Edit: Never mind ... found out you have to go into each user group and enable viewing ... :D

Doug

True False is really just a multiple choice 2 answer question.

Thanks for the login, took a while but figured it out. Something on your site's style is conflicting with the timer function. I removed the timer from the template and it's working for now. It's late here so I'll take a look tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. For now it should work as expected except you can't use a timer on any quizzes.

I couldn't find a demo quiz. Do you have a link?

And would it be possible to import existing quiz questions into this quiz? I realize the functionality is likely not built in, but would it be difficult to use queries to do this? I've been through several quiz mods in the past, and am a bit hesitant about getting another one lest it not be around all that long.

I apologize if this has been answered in the posts already; I've read only the first page.

Thanks! :)

The demo is running at
http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/vbquiz.php

It could be done through sql. I'm also working on an importer from inferno quiz if that is the one you are talking about getting the questions from.

I'm sorry about that. I will release a 1.1.1 soon to fix that issue. It's because you have the images stored in the db. My dev uses the filesystem so I didn't run into the problem until you found it.

ctrlbrk 05-21-2011 01:46 AM

Would you mind telling me before I install this - can the "question" be an image? Like img tag for instance. The way I plan to use this is by showing screen shots of some trading charts and asking users to make trade decisions based on what the chart (image) shows them, so I'd need the question to be an image. I'll provide the URL...

For most question types, the question and answers can be image, text or both.
You can either upload an image to the db locally or it will convert bbcode and you can use a remote image.

Can you click installed? It will show me what version you have. The 1.1.1 version should fix this problem. The image I'm talking about is the commenting user's avatar.

Sorry, the Category permissions were not set to allow viewing from unregistered members. You should be able to see it now.

I installed and everything seemed fine. However, I can't take the QUIZZ. I set all the permissions but still can't answer the questions. Even the Admin cannot answer the question he created.
What should I do?

Here is the error message:
